Which EK waterblock to fit on the Asus GTX 570 Direct CU II?

yes i see what you mean now......the card is too big to allow the connections from the top....but it shouldnt put you off......you will just have to route the pipes a bit differently........

Problem is my pump and res sit right next to the card.. i have no where else to put it unless i try and route it down below where my psu is... which btw is super tight!

Actually nevermind, i think with abit of persuading i can put my pump and res there...

I'll just have to put in a drain tube with a plug in for draining the loop since it will be impossible to get the pump and res back out.

Also did some overclocking tonight and managed to prime for 6 hours at 3.8ghz by upping the NB voltage and cpu voltage. Idle temps are 34C and max temp at 47C!

been looking at your log and its going to be awkward getting the tubes into the gpu block where you have the pump at the moment.......

also how do you find that pump and res.? is it noisy at all.? reason i ask is im possibly going to get one them soon.........but might actualy go for the 4.0 pump as ill be running 1 x 240 , 1 x 200 and 1 x 120 rads..........

It's tight but the cosiness of it makes it very special and feels homey lol.

Pump wise, well in my opinion it's not that noisy at all. No louder than your low rpm fan. I have all my fans set to 1000rpm so noise is minimal and with that setup i barely hear anything.

It's not completely silent by all means, you do hear a slight buzzing noise but it's nothing that would trouble me unless you're sensitive to low noise.

The 4.0 pump is even noisier is it not?

i would assume so.....as its pumping twice the amount of water around.....

dcp 4.0 = Noise: 24.5 dB
dcp 2.2 = Noise: 17.2 dB

not twice as loud though hehe.....

think ill use the dcp 2.2 if i can.......

I can make a short video of the pump running if that helps you from where i'm sat so it's more realistic rather than having the camera right up against the pump.

Will be sometime this week though as i have a busy schedule.

Ok, see what you mean now. Maybe go to the CPU block frat and then GPU then res and use loads of angled fittings?

Either that or go to a rad after and befor ethe GPU?

Don't really understand, Cleeco can you draw a quick diagram on one of my log pictures to outline what you mean?

thanks for the vid jay...much appreciated.....seems very quiet to me there on that video........

regarding your card.......how about you fit 2 x 90 degree connectors to each connection on the graphics card block, that way they will be pointing up...........

then go from the outlet of the cpu into the vga block...then out of the vga block back to the pump...???

Can i even fit 2 x 90 degree angle fittings to each other to create the 180 turn? What connectors would i need?

Thanks

Thats what im worried about, the flows really good atm so dont want to ruin it.

Any other suggestions?
