Insurance quotes are black magic, my wife pays 7 or 800 quid a year with only 1 years NCB, 26 years old on a 335i. I ran a quote on a 2.0 TDCI mondeo a few weeks ago in my name and it was more then that and I'm 30
My 335i was £600 at 27.

being realistic, your not going to get insured on one when your 21... 25 is pushing it as well
I could potentially have a 56 plate A3 2.0tdi 170 Sline when i turn 20, in a few months, and 3 years no claims = £2500
Surely the fact it's an A3 and not a S3 should give me a decent £1500 quote...nope i finished college ages ago, im nearly 19 and am employed as a repair/maintenance engneer
so im not a kid thanks

This was my thought as well. Perhaps that's because I just turned 22 and still want to be a kid?18 is still a kid tbh![]()
Can't believe the quotes are coming back that low THB, I did think at least £2500 - so fair play
oh @ 19 your a kid - I know this cos I'm OLD 41![]()

Whilst it's hardly the fastest or most dangerous, a car with 260+ BHP and 155 limited top speed is probably not a great combination with a 19yr old with a max of. 2yrs driving experience. What do you drive at the moment? Also the S3 is a very thirsty car for it's engine size my friend averaged 22 MPG during his ownership, so if you do lots of miles might be worth considering.
Can we not assume he come from a wealthy family?
