My PC just struggled to start? WTH?

When the bios has problems, I am guessing this is a dual bios mobo? It will turn on for a few secs with fans, then turn off and back on and boot from the 2nd/safe bios settings. But you would get a message on the very first screen saying overclock or something was wrong.

Good luck m8

There is a USB stick version or an ISO you can burn to disc. V4.20 is the latest. Let it run for 7 passes which will take several hours.

Ah doubt I have a stick big enough and have no discs.

What can I do to fix this? i am guessing its my overclock as it also reset on the bios. I had to logg onto ocuk profile on the bios.

Maybe change it lower from 4.6ghz?

Yeah sounds to me like something may have gone wrong with the overclock. If you lower it I guess it would post just fine. You can lower it just fine but I would drop a message over here to customer support:

OCUK for me have always been good fixing issues and helping. You don't want to mess with overclocking settings if you do not know what you are doing, you could up the voltage and do some damage.

I'm gonna wait for their reply, I think. Thanks

I don't trust hibernation. Always had problems with it, even 'sleep' although win 7 seems to do better.

My PC will now never hibernate, I turned it off. Either on or off :D

S3 sleep resume usually points to memory, what qpi/vtt or imc voltage you using? Using latest BIOS? Set dram voltage to what's printed on your ram?

You probably need to save your oc settings and update to latest BIOS,then load optimized defaults and re enter oc settings, all info is in your mb manual on how to update BIOS

If you have overclocked then you shouldn't use sleep/hybernation. 9/10 it won't be able to wake up, something to do with not bing able to supply enough V back to the CPU to resume. I had this on my first overclock. Fans spin up, stop, spin up, stop. After a CMOS clear and a reboot its fine.

That's what happened. So what do you recommend?

Don't use sleep mode. lol.

I keep my OC profile saved in my BIOS, I only load it for a gaming session. No need for a 4.5GHz processor to browse the web! But most people like to keep theirs on 24/7. Just power it off instead of putting it to sleep.
