£420 is MSRP + VAT. Yeh so it should have calmed down by then.

Will wait until nvidia release thiers, that will bring the prices down, get one of the 7970s, probably wont need to upgrade ever after that. 1440p i love and hate you!

A warranty is only as good as it's customer support. The trouble you have with Asus is pathetic, more so as they have the gall to charge a premium for this sham of a customer support. Their warranties seem to be tailored to make you just forget about it. MSI and Gigabyte I hear many good things about.

Just reading about that accident now :(

How did you find out your delivery is delayed? I got a despatch email today at 10:50, and according to DPD the package has been received in Birmingham this evening. They still have tomorrow a the delivery date.

It will depend where you live I expect. Once the consignment is collected from OcUK it will be taken to the local depot, from which it will go to a major hub and then get routed from there to your local depot for delivery.

The accident was on the M6 north of OcUK, so if you live to the south and getting to the main hub isn't affected by the accident then your delivery probably won't be affected. The problem will be in moving consignments from the main hub to the local depot for delivery, which would happen overnight.
 
Who in their right mind would pay £500 for a few extra FPS?

PPL should just buy a 6950 or 6970 because they will play ANYTHING on the highest settings @1080p.

These new cards are just overpriced overkill.
