Ive decided that it's high time to upgrade my HDD thats 80GB and IDE (yes lol I still use an IDE HDD xD) Im going for SATA would prefer none SSD but Im open to SSD if it's decently priced.

Looking for something of up to 1TB of memory and about 5400-7200rpm but really doesn't matter on actual size since Ill be using it for very little anyway.

Any help appreciated thanks :)

First question: Budget and what will you be using it for?? E.G Storage occasionally or a lot for a OS HDD?

Second: Might seem odd but can you afford to wait? HDD prices are sky high at the moment and they SHOULD (No promises) Drop a little in price in next few months (yn)

Budget of up to £100. Mostly OS but the only reason my HDD is only OS atm is cause its such a small capacity. I can wait a bit but then I probably won't have any student loan left xD

Right the F3's have a lot of positive reviews on here

Personally ide go for a Hitachi but its cos i always had them with zero failures.. Bit cheaper too!

YOUR BASKET
1 x Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.C 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (0F10383) £98.99
Total : £107.69 (includes shipping : £7.25).

P.S Shipping cost may be wrong..

This is sticking to your 1TB.. Do you need it though? For a lot less you can pick up a SATA 500GB.

Damn that is fast! might have to get it ahah. nice price as well... Idk why SSD's are way more expensice than disk HDD's since SSD drives are manufactured a lot more easily tbh... but oh well I like disk HDD's better ^.^

now is not the best time to be buying HDD's because of what happened in Thai Land... if you can put it off for a bit? Or look into what the prices are doing at the moment
