Horse mutilated and killed in horrific attack

Every time something like this crops up it reminds me of that Chinese woman in stilettos stamping on a kitten. That image will be scarred into my mind for the rest of my life, never felt so much hate towards someone.

Why?

You have to be extremely unhappy with your life to do something like that.

Whatever happened to the days when people would pull the wings off of flies.

Or you're selling the parts you cut out as an expensive folk/alternative/spiritual remedy?

if they catch them they should do EXACTLY the same to each of them and make an example of them.

I'm not a horse lover but i'm old enough to know what respect is and how it should be taught!

I have heard of similar attacks in the past. Not stealing parts but often knife attacks on horses. Going into the countryside to find a horse and then attacking it in this way seems completely bizarre but the number of attacks in different parts of the country means these attacks must be being carried out by different people.

I would be generally interested to know what sort of people they are and what their motivation is.

Badgers certainly attack cows, not sure to what extent mind

It is very, very rare. Certainly not frequently. A badger weighs 10-12kg and a dairy cow 650-750kg.

A badgers diet consists of earthworms, insects, grubs and small mammals etc. They will also feed on carcases.

and are thought to spread diseases, which is why they are (or are considering) culling a large number.

The disease you are referring to is Bovine Tuberculosis (bTB). It is spread primarily through the exchange of respiratory secretions between infected and uninfected animals. This transmission usually happens when animals are in close contact with each other.

Aliens? :p

Seriously, I was watching something on Discovery (I think) about cow mutilations since the 70s, udder removed, genitals removed, eyes removed, lips & tongue removed... the people on there were saying that it was done almost surgically and there was no blood at the scene because the blood had been drained.

The other theory I think was some sort of secret government operation to monitor for BSE and other diseases.
