Anyone used the TRUE Copper or Tuniq Extreme with a 2500k

I have a standard TRU on my 2500K and it's keeping temps below 70c (Intel burn test max) at 4.3Ghz 1.28v. So I can only guess the copper extreme version would do very well.

Thanks Ivan, I will buy the bracket. I just need to get the heatskink lapped as its been scratched badly being left in the box of toys i keep in my spare room :(

afaik the True copper has 6 heat pipes compared to the 4 of a standard True.
It is still a very capable cooler so it worth keeping.
can you fit a fan each side on it so you get a push/pull setup :)

I have an ultra 120 extreme which I fitted to a 2600k. I managed 5Ghz and temps of mid 70's with two fans in push pull setup.

I have the black version of the TRUE and running intel burntest maxed out, it keeps my i5 [email protected], 1.320v in the high 60's, low 70s. I might reseat the TRUE tho with some new AS5, as I think my AS5 was passed its sell by date as it was quite sticky when applying it to the cpu

Does it have a sell by date then? The stuff I used on mine must be a few years old at least. Maybe time to buy some more.

I found a few degrees drop with IC diamond thermal compound. I used to be a die hard AS5 person, but times have moved on since then. Push pull fan will shave another few degrees off for you!

Found a roughly 10-11yr old half tube of Arctic silver, going by the hardware it was mixed in with in the box in my loft (K6-2 400, K6-3+ 450, PIII 450 and Celeron 533 + a few boards) durig a clearout in November. Was rather brittle/crusty, could be the storage conditions though, harsh to say the least.

I used to be the same with Arctic Silver 5, but in recent times started using Liquid Metal Pro and it gives nice little drop in temperatures over AS5. :)

this,
IC diamond is very good but can be expensive, MX-4 is very good and a bit cheaper

Is it the IC diamond 7 thermal compound? If it is the right one, the price dont look too bad on the bay and if you guys think its better then AS5, I'll get a tube.
