New Headphones - Upto £300

@FirebarUK, I Would be most interested to hear your thoughts on the MMX300's.

Despite the comments above, and I really appreciate them, the 701's are still just nosing ahead, the positional audio from what I've read is excellent for gaming, and to be honest this is what these will spend 80% of their life doing.

K701s seem a bit overkill for mainly gaming. The AD700 or AD900 will work just as well and not require beastly amping.

I very nearly bought some Manufaktur DT990s a while back, but crikey they're easy to spec over £300 for a nice coloured pair.

Yeah, Manufaktur can soon start to add up, when I did a set I liked the total was about £360! And that was a pair of plain black with leather cushons.!

Tried a Pair of AKG Q701's last night and they are supurb. BF3 never sounded so good.

May have found my answer. Still deciding though.

I was a bit annoyed that the leather colours for the headband/earpads didn't match the colours available for the can housing and the little fixtures :/ bit silly imo!

IMO the MMX300 is a bit over priced. You can get any of the other Beyer Premium models (DT990,DT880,DT770) and a clip-on mic for cheaper.

You could easily change your post to "£3000" and "watches".

I am fully intending on getting a pair of T1s so that'll be around £750 on headphones lol :|


FYI, The Manufaktur MX300s after the specs and tax etc were closer to £400 lol
