Hey GD,

Hope everyone is well. Right then, strange one this as it's been bugging me for a while. Didn't think much of it at first but recently it's started to....well...concern me.

Basically, when I go to sleep, I have a reoccurring dream, say once a week. Now, in this dream I am being attacked by an entity and *struggling here to best describe it* I feel like I'm being pulled out of my bed or my body.

The dream is very unpleasant and when I wake up I have pins and needles all through my body.

The last time I had this dream was a few nights ago. Now, what’s really interesting and slightly intriguing I might add is that during these episodes I don't see what this "thing" is that’s trying to pull me out of my bed or body.

That changed though in the last dream. Stay with me on this. So, in that dream I seemed to take control and fight back and grab this buggers arm and when I sought the courage to look at it, it was just an outline of an apparition.

Freaked me out royally. Not really told anyone about it. A bit embarrassed to be honest but my mum says now and again she hears me shout out in my sleep.

No wonder!

The only person I told was my uncle and he says it's probably stress or anxiety. Well, yeah my job is pretty stressful but the same dream or very similar over and over again?

Yes I know it sounds crazy. Thought I'd share it with you. Hopefully next time I fight back I pull the damn things head off :)

Not helpful but random, I once had a dream that someone (must have broken in to my house) stabbed me in my sleep, I woke up gripping the covers and had a sharp pain in my side.

I was too scared to move or open my eyes for ages. LOL :o

I used to have a recurring dream that I was being chased by a large sequin covered chicken with a pistol. Surprisingly disturbing.

I don't sleep on my back. Probably just a glitch in the matrix.

i was gonna say, sleeping on my back cause wild vivid dreams.. but if i sleep on my front or side, nothing. O_o do you have an iphone?? try the sleep talk application to record you when you sleep. :) see if you say anything unusual.

I have 2 recurring dreams:

One is that I turn up to a Workingmens Club with my band and everything goes wrong so we don't end up performing (I have this about once every 2 weeks).
It's doubly horrible because I hate Workingmens Clubs and won't go into them anymore.

I'm on an assembly line and I can't keep up. the products are 10 foot high and I've got to look on top but can't get up and I'm that behind that they are falling off the end of the line (I have this once a month).

now that i think about it... i do have a re occuring dream... :( only happens like once a month.

im in this 1940's house, for some reason im staying there for a few weeks (its got an upstairs and downstairs) think of resident evil mansion sort of style. there is one room...where it gives me the most horrible feeling... of total dread and fear.. like some sort of ghost is watching me. ergh. its really hard to explain. i wake up feeling so depressed and crappy.

The whole pins and needles sensation when waking up is really common apparently. Went to a doctor for it awhile back as it was a little worrying, and she basically said anxiety about it happening again and thinking about it before you fall asleep plays a big part. Best thing you can do is tell yourself you'll be alright before you sleep, and not worry about it. Sounds silly, but I've been fine ever since :)
