OcUk have a range of 4-pin PWM fans. I am mostly interested in the Apaches but my motherboard lacks these connectors. Is there a good fan controller which supports this or is it a feature that comes mostly on newer motherboards?

they wont speed up slow down though according to temp if connected to 3pin,plenty cheap fan controllers around

you might be able to slow them down in the mb bios

it's a perfectly good solution. i use one to run a pair of pwm fans on push/pull on the cpu cooler. i believe you can run upto 3 pwm fans

Haven't seen that cable setter, dunno how I missed it as I'm always browsing through the cable section. Might have to get one of these myself, for as u say the 3xpwm is a bit messy, that's its one drawback I guess.

I have two of the akasa PWM splitters and run all my case fans from the CPU header.
Runs lovely and quite and the fans speed up when needed.

Neither have I, wonder how long its been on there for. Might have to purchase it too, as I got a few PWM fans that are on full speed due to not daisy chainging the splitter.

Might of been because im cheap, probably blocked out everything else when I saw the price of the first splitter :D

Lol, they are great.

I have a PWM splitter coming from the 4 pin CPU connector on my board into two of these with 6 PWM fans running from them. I t works really well..
