My current weapon of choice is C4, seeing as it's the only thing that can effectively take out a tank :rolleyes:

What is amusing is putting C4 on a tank, letting him see you and kill you then when you respawn, detonating the C4.....they get confused

When did they change this? When first released the C4 disappeared when you died?

I love memorable moments like that. I remember when I was playing 2142 and I was stood behind a wall with my teammate while an enemy tank searched for us. He peeked round the wall for a moment and I heard a blast and his corpse came flying past me and smashed into the wall behind. It was like something out of a film, I found myself in shock for a moment or two as if it had really happened, I was so immersed. Brilliant.

I've noticed that too, my C4 and rockets still disappear if I die. Although when im blowing a tank I ALWAYS run away and then do a little jump and hit the detonator.. Dont know why, its just an instant reaction.

thought it worked like that at first, then they took it off with a patch (like the at mines) then put it back on again ?

been like it for at least 2 mths that im aware of.

edit: add to that i'm not sure if its time limited, so soon as u spawn you need to get the detonator out and smack the switch.

I had some guy glitch when I ran over him in a buggy, half his body was sticking out my bonnet; His arms were just waving around as I drove round. Pity the map ended before I could take a screeny.

HAHA, me too. There's nothing more annoying than getting killed the split second before you press BANG. I end up tensing my entire body in anticipation of getting shot when sticking C4 to a tank. Strange.....

Cant get used to the button config of laying and triggering C4 in BF3 though. RMB to lay, LMB to trigger. It's never been that way before has it?

I always assumed the c4 disappeared aswell, but yes, it does indeed stay post death, great fun

For the first time ever my C4 disappeared after respawn last night. Before yesterday, I was *always* blowing up tanks and what not with my C4 after respawn. I've also had countless rockets not disappear.

Dunno if it's something daft like after level X it disappears. Next time I play no doubt I'll find out if they continue to disappear.

I really don't. "Cooking" grenades is the worst feature of any game ever. Period.

Just throw it from further away - or throw it on a higher arc :cool:

I think they take too long to detonate myself and you only get one.

I'd like to cook it and take a whole squad out.

I tend to go with explosion ammo perk, especially for vehicle heavy maps.. RPG's away! and C4 goodnes for multiple takedowns :cool:
