Hi all, I have what I believe is an issue a lot of people are having. I have an iPhone 4 which I updated from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 and it was working perfectly fine. But now it fails to activate the iPhone over the air or via iTunes even when using the same SIM card. Apple refuse to do anything because it's out of warranty.
I understand their point and they say they are getting tougher now regarding their warranty policies. But their update has caused me this issue and had I known it would have been like this, I wouldn't have updated it in the first place!
Apple have recently made available a small upgrade 5.0.1_9A406 which I have installed on the iPhone via iTunes after going into DFU mode which is supposed to fix this invalid SIM issue but it makes no difference!
If anyone has any idea if this could be fixed because it's out of warranty so I have nothing to lose, then I would be much appreciated. Regards.
