Do I or don't I (new car)?

Still bashing that keyboard?

We can all have opinions right? Who are you to put your foot down and rule the motors section, so if Firestar_3x doesnt agree with you, then you are completely wrong.

RX8 thread - Guy wants advice on RX8 purchase, I correctly advise him on the expensive running costs. They guy is cleaely after a bargain car with performance. Which the Mazda 3 MPS IS!

This thread - Guy wants exciting car so he can enjoy his 160 miles journey to work. A 3.6 V6 is shot down by yourself as being "comical".

Seriously what are people's problems? Do we all have to consider our actions before we post? If I were to create a spec me thread, I wouldn't want anyone to feel they can't post an opinion incase it is laughed upon by this community. As we are all individuals aren't we? Otherwise we'd all be driving around in the same car

Rant over. If you have nothing nice to say I suggest your give your keyboard a rest and cheer up in life generally.

To be fair, he does work in Oil and Gas.

Definitely replace it. I think that spec is everything when it comes to BMWs, and a fully-loaded car makes a big difference.

Get a fully loaded 335d and be happy :)

thing is rk firestar has been here for donkeys and has built up a lot of respect amongst the motors community for his knowledgable replies and posts.

you've not even been here long enough to have a good ****
so kindly put the toys back in the pram

Get a 1.2 corsa, the slogan is "put the fun back into driving", so they must be fun right?

Please do not keyboard warrior this opinion, we are all entitled to our own opinions have some respect!

:D

Such a nice and welcoming community here. Great advertisement to the OCUK brand

To be fair, x35ds are very quick.

Not saying they aren't but a high revving n/a straight 6 with plenty of power is more fun than a diesel even if a mapped 335d is the fastest car on the road.

It is only an extreme minority of people here that work for or are otherwise affiliated with the brand. The rest of us post within the rules for the most part and the rules allow members to call out posters that are posting what is, in their opinion, drivel.

If you carry on spouting crap thereafter, don't stand there and look all aghast as you're torn to shreds by people who know what they are about, people that have loads of experience and also people that earn considerably more than you whilst flying business class as part of their oil and gas responsibilities.

I'll best shut up then. Still not sure what I did wrong though...

How big a car do you need as the 1 series are quite nippy and fun to drive if you go for one of the faster types. If you could stretch another 20k then this sounds ideal :D BMW M1

You recommended a Passhat to someone who wants an exciting car.

How about a Bugatti Veyron? He only needs to find another £1.5m.

Ehhh? I gave a honest answer as you can easily get a fast 1 series like a 123d or 135i for under 20k and then I added in abit of humour as the op seems a fan of BMWs

driving a corsa is about as much fun as rubbing your genitals on a cheesegrater dipped in iodine.
