When Jermaine Green and his fiancee Violet Roberts got on a Metro bus in Bellflower Monday night, they took notice of another passenger.

"The lady got on the bus with a stroller full of pillows, she was very polite, said hello to everyone and sat down," Green said.

At the next stop, two LA County sheriff's deputies, one male and one female, boarded the bus and called the passenger by name."They said get off the bus. She then started cursing at (the female deputy). You could tell she had special needs. After that they grab her, she curses him out, calls him a big shot, next thing you know he gives her a big shot," Green said.

Oh dear, the police will probably get away with disciplinary action. How can this kind of force ever be justified? And especially on someone who is incredibly vulnerable.

That wasn't provoked at all

There's a history between the sheriff and victim but that isn't grounds for "oh she's always trouble, it's just a smack" or the like.

I'd love to hear what the sheriff has to say...

Definitely seems like there's more to the story than we see, or, entirely possibly the sheriff is just an arse, but we can't tell form here.

The guy who filmed it definitely seems like a decent guy though!

Picked a bit out but
Two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were on the bus responding to a 911 call from a passenger reporting a woman threatening violence.

"She's trying to pick a fight with anybody, she almost hit an old man," the caller said. "She was talking about how she got out of prison and 'I'll beat up all you guys.'

SuperTronNarwhal, thanks for your link. At least there are still decent people out there who will care for another regardless of mental status!

Male cope hitting a women, I bet that finally raised his stick!

Reminds me of a video a few years ago, of a sheriff pushing a kid of his skateboard after no warnings then flat out smacking the kid on the ground in the head with his own board, he got one month no pay.

Even though the whole event was on video the sheriff claimed he was in the right.

Story needs context, why did they want her off the bus? Can't be for no reason.

Still.. no excuse to punch her. :(

Edit: Ah I see now, trouble maker. Two wrongs and all that. :(
