Paris!

Fair enough, thats changed since i last flew in October so I didnt know actually, and maybe I just dont know everyone on this forum well enough to know how to takw their tone but ti looked like you were being a bit patronising. so sorry anyway.

:)

He's always like that, if it makes you feel better he used to be worse :D

Ah Paris, went there when I was younger. We set off for a walk about around 11am and by 11pm we managed to find our hotel again.

Funny story now but not at the time!:p

I went for to Paris a couple of years ago with my missus on a belated honeymoon (it was my third time top Paris and her first).

Eurostar is the way to go if you can as it is so convenient from city centre to city centre. However, I realise Natwee is in Manchester which is a little more awkward. Will need to check out prices but I would favour Eurostar without a doubt than spend the time wasted getting to the airport and hanging around, etc as well as factoring costs getting to the airport and then city centre.

I'll post more information tomorrow or over the weekend about where we stayed and places to definitely visit, etc.

I'm about to go to bed as I've been out and about all day celebrating my birthday.
I've had a little to drink earlier so a little tipsy now. Also stuffed from all the food (Joy King Lau Dim Sum for brunch and half steak and half Chilli Beef Enchilada from Giraffe for dinner) :D

It's a fantastic place for getting lost. One of the best restaurants i have ever eaten at was down some tiny alley when we were trying to find our hotel.

Paris is probably my favourite city.....something for everyone. Been there lots of times and never tire of visiting.

As or getting there, whatever is easiest I guess. We always Air France to CDG from Newcastle, but I'd love to try the Eurostar.

Would I rather get there cheaply and inconveniently or quicker with less (relative) hassle.

No brainer as far as I'm concerned......but each to their own
