might need to send my asus monitor back to asus and was wondering what peoples experience was like with them,if anybody has had any that is?

I have heard they are terrible and take a long time to reply back to you..etc

Well I had to RMA my motherboard during the Sandybridge SATA port chipset BS problem and i couldn't have found it any smoother.

I know that was a very specific issue and they probably had a dedicated team looking after it.

With most things i have had to RMA I usually just buy a new one and sell the old one that i get back RMA'd taking a minor price hit.

Is it a UK RMA or Europe ?

There are a few threads on here about Asus. The most positive one I can remember was OcUK stating they used to be really crap, but now they're only a bit crap. A couple of reps came on here for a while, promised things like a 5 day turnaround that simply didn't happen.

I had very little fun when an Asus board failed, the initial turnaround estimate was 12 weeks. OcUK sorted that out on my behalf (posted me a Gigabyte board), I've no idea if they bothered to chase Asus or if they wrote it off.

I, personally and slightly irrationally, won't buy from Asus again. Lovely motherboards, made by a company that just doesn't give a damn about individual end users.

asus has contacted me and said I should use a rma but if I set one up does that mean a courier comes to pick my faulty item up and has a replacement with him?
