social points - how the hell do you get them? I'm level 19, I've done a warzone, I've done heroic quests with a group, I've teamed up with a starter to help them out but it is still showing 0/10.

it's one of 2 missions I have left on Coruscant and I hate leaving missions uncompleted :(

You only get them in groups, when there's quest dialogue and custscene you get points for selecting what to say. The person tho rolls and highest and gets to talk gets the most social points.

So quest together and get the points.

seems to be an awful lot of big girls out there crying over textures!

I remember when it was gameplay that mattered most, pretty textures won't make the game any better than it currently is!

How can you deny that the 3 turret and destroying of doors arn't zergfests? You start the game, walk to an objective within a short distance and just start reeling of moves, hoping you kill them quicker than they kill you. If you die you rinse and repeat.

How is this any different then arathi basin? You zerg a node, hope you out heal/dps the other team and cap the node.

The point of these warzones is you need team work, if you don't have it, you'll most likely loose. The chances of you single handedly capping nodes is incredibly slim. If you don't like this, then i'm afraid this game isn't for you.

With regards to the 50's, there in there own warzones now, so you'll only meet 10-49 and 50s v 50s.

Not yet the brackets are part of 1.1 which isn't out yet

I'm finding it quite tiring to be honest, I find that in long fights I spend a lot of time staring at the skills waiting for cool downs or procs to show when I'd rather be looking at all the pretty animations and what's going on around me. I am rubbish at micro managing and it's easy to get frustrated with having to remember so many bloody skills.

And some of the skills are retarded, I.e. pommel strike and savage kick, they're two of our most powerful attacks which can only be used in pve in very specific situations. Pommel strike for example can only be used on incapacitated targets and I can only stun normal targets very briefly with smash. None of them really seem to replace each other also, so it's just a big stack that only gets bigger.

I'm tempted to try something else that doesn't require such a lot of micro managing.
Pommel strike & savage kick can't even be used on players...

This is don't understand - it would be like Grav bolt for the trooper not being able to be used on players.

For a jugger pommel is one of my highest damage abilities (also can't be used on gold elites) - neither can savage kick.

Have you seen how bad some of the textures are?.

Some classes armour is fine, due to it having a high polygon count (with bits sticking out n stuff) - but the robes (which are basically flat with a texture are nothing more than migraine inducing muddy messes.

Having a character that looks crap 95% of the time, isn't great for immersion.

Graphics help me a great deal to get immersed into the game, i can't play a game anymore without good detail and everything on maximum settings, but TOR's graphics are okay, they just need to sort a few things out.

Exactly, graphics are the main method in which you interact with the game - it makes sense for it to matter.

Obviously game-play is important - but so are graphics, sound, plot, good voice acting & mechanics.

It's all part & parcel of a good overall gaming experience.

Besides, I got a new PC a few months back to play this game - If I had known we have have C64 style textures I'd have kept my old one & not given it away.

That's not true, i play a sith inq on Niman and every pvp match I turn up to is a faceroll win. As a lvl 17 I've had a 50/4 kd ratio and I think had 2 lost matches. Teamwork is non existent.

Besides the action pause, constant huttball and lag I really fail to see how anyone could consider SWTOR BGs the preeminent form of pvp out there.

You realise the 'constant huttball' is because you're on the sith side don't you? With populations pretty heavily imbalanced, and Huttball being the only map which you can play against your own faction, it's not going to change any time soon since population balancing seems to be non existant.

Well even though I have unsubbed my normal pre made were playing so I jumped on, in 4 bags I got boots, gloves and relic which was cool.

Also received my first e-mail from Bioware warning me about an account suspension... They mad.

honestly don't care at all about this texture issue. things look fine to me and idc about playing some fancy high def looking game. i'm all about the play and the story, which is awesome.

and i don't think i would want an AV-type bg. my problem with AV was that i spent half the time mounted and running to somewhere. maybe if they had similar objectives but on a smaller, AB-ish sized map that would be better.

aaaand to the guy who said about the gear issue of everyone looking the same- that is the player's fault! bioware have specifically made it so you can pick different kinds of gear from different factions/points systems that look COMPLETELY different and customise them with your own mods to look however you want. if people are just using and the same gear as each other that is their own fault.
