Hi guys

Just bought the X530s and wired them up. I'm getting sound out the front two, but not the middle or rear two. It seems to be a common problem but for the life of me I can't find a fix. Computer is definitely set up for 5.1 and the rear two speakers do work as I've tested them.

Anyone fancy giving insight as to why it's doing this? Tried it on missus laptop, put the black jack in the audio hole and the back speakers work without the middle one, but put the audio jack in the audio hole and only the front ones work excluding middle one.

Set to 7.1 on some motherboards and disable side speakers, its the stupid way some mb manufacturers label the speakers

Are you not getting sound from the centre and rears when playing games?

If it's websites, music, etc. Then it could be the speaker fill option is not ticked in the Realtek control panel (assuming your board has Realtek audio).

Ok me being me didn't realise it wouldn't work on sound just movies :S So they all work now but the rear speakers are very very faint, that's using room correction too.
