First i get this email message ..

After bragging to all my mates at work Virgin have just sent me this email ...

Lowering my broadband price and giving me a faster speed i like. Then telling me it's a mistake i don't like :rolleyes:

Someone at Virgin pressed the send button too soon :(
 
it's not all bad. as you're not on the top tier already, your speed will be at least doubled over the next 18 months (existing 20Mbps users are getting theirs trebled to 60).
 
I have the email telling me of the upgrade to my 100mb line and thatg the cost is being reduced to current 50mb prices in April, also online there is a postcode finder which give you the expected date.....

I have not received an apology we made a mistake email though.....

30MB. I knew it was to good to be true.
 
My friend is on the 20mb package and got an email saying hes being upgraded to the 100mb package and his monthly fee will go down. A couple of hours later he got an email saying it was a mistake.
I wanted to use his broadband to download from steam because I am on sky and can only get 6mb :(
 
out of everyone, 20Mbps customers are the best off. they're getting their speeds tripled for free. for those on 30Mbps it's only getting doubled. :p
 
Why the **** are they upgrading speeds if they can't even provide a constant reliable service at the current speeds? I spend half my time with either <3Mb or no internet at all.
 
Wish I could get Virgin Media where I live :( asked them and they've got no plans to lay fibre optic cable in my estate, have to make do with woeful sky "broadband". I'd have bought 100meg broadband from vigin if they'd have it here.

at the moment Im on 30Mb. I have had troubles in the past with my service but its been sorted EVERYTIME. and have been reimbursed for outages or poor service

id rather have that and the great customer service (one service guy kept coming on his days off with his own routers to diag my network problems if that is'nt good customer service I don't know what is)

either that or 100year old copper phone line carrying **** poor broadband to my living room. every time I go my mates he ends up trying to show me something on Youtube just for the lulz it seems he likes to see me suffer.

infact i get better speed over HSDPA on my phone than the majority of phone cable BB users

I'm on VM 20meg, I got an email saying it was going to be 120, then one saying "oops error" then one saying increased to 60 lol.

TBH I'm not bothered 20 is more than enough and I dont have a bad word to say against VM I think i've lost about 3 days in 8 years and my DL speed is 19.50 of the 20 rated.

Wheres the postcode checker btw ?
