*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

1-49 bracket makes sense because (by and large) people only start to gear up once they hit 50. most 1-49 players will be in quest gear as there is no point getting yourself geared up as you will be at the next level in no time. On the other hand a freshly minted L50 will be much less capable than a kitted out L50.

Here's the gear of some badass lvl50. Hadn't seen equpment like this one anyone else.

I want those swords :) shame im a sniper atm.

Those are some mid level items with entry level end game (except mod slot) modifications.
They look silly single handed though :( Much better with two with a marauder/sent.

Bioware said a few days ago they are still gaining subscribers.

Doesn't really mean a lot. This could be people who have just purchased the game and registered their cards. After all, anyone who has registered CC details and not yet cancelled is a subscriber to the game. So yes, they would be gaining subscribers.

The important figure would be what % of people that have registered the games actually carry on in to the second month.

Removing the 50s is going to gimp the faceroll classes?

No idea how you got that from my post....

A poorly played level 50 Sorc can chain lighting spam any 10-49 to death without too much of a concern.

When the 50 sorc is placed into the 50 bracket that tactic wont work, because everyone will be on the same par, all 50's, higher health, higher mitigation and so on.

Due to the tactic above not being as effective, they will either have to evolve there game play or they'll get frustrated and re-roll.

Its quite simple to understand really.

Had a major bit of fail last night, chased someone a fair distance on Tat to find him disappear with half health, so I thought ace, one charge bang bang dead, so I charge straight off a cliff to die next to his feet :D bad times!

Technically this just means people are still subscribing though, right? It doesn't mean numbers are going up. (As in, more people could be cancelling)

Also, most people are still in their free month. I've cancelled, but my sub is still active for around 5 more days.

Exactly, theyre gaining subs because peoplevare still buying the game and registering for their free month, especially with the nonsense reviews out there. Next week it will become apparent lots havent subbed. Hence the panic patch.

Games losing people rapidly in my opinion

That must be one of the most stupid posts I have read on here. The game is either losing people or it isn't - I don't see how that can be an "opinion".

Could my guild info be added to the front page please?

I have a lot of friends playing and ive been playing casually since day1 of the pre orders getting in have a couple of lvl 30s and a lvl 41. The levelling process is a lot more fun than previous MMO's (warhammer/aion/rift/wow) and from what i understand from the others in my guild at lvl 50 theres plenty to do and keep you playing. The balancing is the same as every other MMO ive played it seems with there being a flavour of the month at release but just as the other games im sure there will be nerfs and buffs and people finding new specs and ways to counter. Its a bit early to call time on this yet i think.

So im at point were the more i see of this the more i want im nearly caving despite having loads of games im yet to finish but..Were would the cheapist place be for this? (To download if possible)

Surely, unless we have stats, all we have are our own opinions on what is happening?

Which in turn is biased and meaningless tbh. I don't get how anyone can tell if people are leaving or not - there are potentially millions of people playing across countless servers.

For the most part it isn't a problem, but it is annoying to see the same people posting the same rubbish over and over again, just looking for a reaction. ElliottJames being amongst the worst - didn't he say that this was his first MMO though? That would explain a lot.

I'm thinking about unsubbing, tho I will give it one more month, first few days i was hooked, but not it's wearing thin for me, highest char is lvl 30, about 30/40 hours in, shame really as DC Universe gave me about 300 hours before I got bored.
