Manchester Titans 2012 training kicks off this week guys.

Date: Sunday 15th January and every following Sunday

Time: Juniors (be there for 9.45) 10am – 12pm, Seniors (be there for 12.15) 12.30pm – 3pm

Cost/Subs: £5

Location: Astley Sports College, Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield Cheshire, SK16 5BL

Directions by public transport: The sports college is less than one mile from Flowery Field Station, with trains running every 30minutes to and from Manchester City Centre taking about 15minutes. The sports college is also accessible via Stalybridge Station.

Further Info: Please bring footwear suitable for sandfilled astroturf, additional knee and elbow protection is also recommended.

Looks quite tempting, I was thinking of trying out for the Manchester university team next season. Do I need any previous experience?

non what so ever, if your interested come down, even if your looking at uni ball come down as a few play for us as well.

just bring along some astro turf friendly footware and some long sleeved/legged kit so you dont end up getting marked up with any of the drills.

OOhhh I know somebody at work who played last year and had 3 concussions! The Hay-maker. If you have heard of him? Plays in the backs.

not sure who that is but i havent been down proper for a few years thanks to one thing and another, but backs are girls anyways. take a little nudge and they fall over

Played for Nottingham Outlaws, and also 2 tours with the GB Bulldogs.

Unforunately it was too much hastle once i left uni. Getting to practices and matches would mean lugging my kit across London on the tube 2-3 times a week.

yeah can be a pain lugging the kit about on public transport, was going to say if your north west i think lonodon blitz are around that area.

Yeah they are closer now, but when i moved back to London they were in West London. I've been out of the game for too long now, and have other things i'm more into these days. Plus there's the fact that i'm physically a LOT different from what I was then (5stone lighter), and would have to relearn everything.
