Hey folks. Im at level 13 at the moment and steadily progressing. How many levels are there?

Also many times yesterday I would come up against an opponent, particularly in one instance his back is square facing me, I must have unloaded an entire clip into his back, he then turns around with a L96 is it? (a sniper gun of some sort I think) and shoots ONCE and I am literally dead.

And he must have been just a few feet infront of me.

Surely this is a netcode issue, I am not great at this game but I am not that bad an aimer, and my ping was around 30-40 (which is probably a little on the high side I guess?)

Thoughts folks?

SOFLAM is the only way to take down choppers, the stinger/igla is as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Choppers are way too overpowered in this. Lets have a bit more realism, stinger when it hits a chopper should destroy it outright. Same with the javelin on tanks, the javelin hit's a tank from above, penetrating the weakest part and tearing it apart from the inside out.

Choppers are quite easy to take down using a jet though - if those measures were put in place they wouldn't last more than a few seconds.

It's the hitreg it can be dire, you can sometimes play for hours without issue and then it goes really bad to the point entire rounds feel like rubber bullets and you're wearing no clothes(one hit kills). Me, Setter, DG and a number of others get it, Yet some don't have any problems whatsoever like Westie, Badboy and such. Going 44/5 in that sort of range for about 3hrs to suddenly going 11/15 then you just end up rage quitting. It all started when the DLC came out, pre DLC and after patch it was AMAZING. Something went wrong as EA would put it :p

And yes I do have my moments of playing poorly but you can tell the difference

But the person using the SOFLAM gets no real points whatsoever, I know it's for the team but does the entire team/server really thank you for it at the end of a round?. Do your stats show you helping the team with a SOFLAM?. Imagine if all you used was the SOFLAM how long would it take you to level up?

I got quite a few points for designating the other team (I was doing it manually til we got them backed in, then I left it on their base). Everytime I saw a box come up on map, I'd just jump on remote and go to manual mode and get the points, then go back to sniping.

I was locking on to everything on the map, from air to ground vehicles. They couldn't stop us :D.

At end of the day, im already level 45. So, I dont mind the points as long as we win the match :)

Simple solution: make it so that only the team that wins the round has their stats recorded.
Implement that and I bet a lot more people will start going for objectives.

Sounds good, but what about the people who get a crappy team? Cant hold them responsible if they're going for the objective etc or if your team just starts leaving half way through.

Looks like ArtlficalAIming hacked my server last night and emptied it around 2-3am. He also knew my name and knew that i was in bed. He joined the OCUK platoon to find out the server address and details and then left again.

You are describing situations that EXACTLY happen with me as well. At one point I LITERALLY said to myself "****, I'm ***'*n Rambo tonight!"

And then the next game it was more a case of being Topper Harley.

Which server do you guys frequent?

Yes and I also mentioned of a hacker before it happened but you didn't reply :o

ukcs and the ocuk server, but don't expect the hitreg issue to be any different. You can still play for hours and be a god then end up playing like a peasant cause the reg goes to ****

I was in bed dude, i left around two hours before that. ;)

However i have his guid, he changes his name constantly so its no good searching for him in battlelog. Here are Articial Aimings details so everyone can ban him from all our servers. IP and guid.

Player GUID Computed 7955dcb96cbb53c7ffcdd67379501889(-) (slot #23) 188.220.177.47:3659 ArtlficalAIming

Also his friend serious

Player GUID Computed 75655e3dfbad87282e0457b0e4edb34b(-) (slot #8) 82.232.218.244:3659 l_llSerious_

If needs be i can give someone else admin powers to control stuff when i aint there, either that or i could add a vote kick plugin so you can ban hackers yourself during the round.

Well tough luck :p

And does it really matter? Your team might not be as good, but then this is a team based game. As long as you are playing it as intended (ie, to take objectives to win), does it really matter if your stats suffer?

This is why Im critical of games with such huge emphasis on personal statistics. People get too tied up in improving their own that they forget about simply enjoying the experience.

Everyone starts out as a a noob :p. Anyhoo, Dice cant even deal with cheaters on this game, let alone people who dont go for objectives :p.

I'm not talking about a system whereby DICE monitors the stats and disregards lost games. I'm talking about a change to the core gameplay. The game records your stats through the round, but at the end of it, only saves those of the winning team. Might sound drastic, but people would soon get it; those desperate to improve their personal stats would strive to play a team game, while everyone who does anyway would still benefit.

Surely this is better for noobs as well? You might still not have the shooting skills of advanced players, but you can still follow your squad and get in the cap zone when needed :)

It's never gonna happen anyway. I just think it would be interesting to see how it changed peoples' attitudes to the game.

and those who dont, can go back to COD. I know what you're saying, trying to make people actually work as a team etc. Just to make sure im understanding you, you mean only those who win the round actually get the points they've earnt in that round? If you didnt win, the points you got in the round, you dont actually get (like COD series, where if you left during the round, your points didnt get recorded).

Yeah, pretty much.

As for 'going back to CoD'....well, it'll sort the wheat from the chaff... ;)

It does sound like a good idea to me in theory but the reality would probably be team stacking and early quits by those on the losing team thinking, if I stay I'm goning to lose points so I'll just leave now kinda thing.
