Yea, the difference is though. He accepted his ban, he even said that he did deserve it. He just left it at that and moved on and showed that he actually regretted his actions.

In your case, I did actually agree with you at first. You started off asking for an explanation but weren't getting one. I'm still unsure what offence you actually did. But in the thread, you went on and on and then your attitude went downhill fast. In the end FT had every right to ban you imo. People seem to forget it's his money and time to put this server up (with help in donations and other admins ofc) he doesn't have to do it so why should he have to put up with people going on and on.

I havent played recently, got a bit tired of resource collecting. Will probably get the urge back in a week or so, seems to go in cycles for me.

Same, Battlefield 3 has taken over for a little while. :p

I'd just prefer it if I didn't have to sift through pages of immature bickering to catch up on the world of LT Minecraft. If you've been perma banned, get over it. Move on. Stop trying to find ways to argue or the mods will have to clean up this thread again. Thus probably handing out forum suspensions. :(

But permanent? Surely a few more weeks or days added onto the ban would have got the message across. :)
 
I think it's time for a big thanks to FT/Maxi/Yrth for all the thankless work they put in to make this a good server to play on :)

Sadly if you only read this thread you'd think otherwise.

Agreed.

But more to the point of the original conversation; His server, His rules. This ain't a democracy (thank goodness).

Phosgene always come across very well to me, I was very surprised when I saw he'd been banned (I was away during this time) very much out of character for him, glad to see he made it back thanks to the amnesty. With the right amount of drink I'm sure we can all make silly mistakes.

Bottom line is bans are debated in private by the admins/mod team before a final decision is made and they aren't open to debate after that. Accept it and move on, there are plenty of minecraft servers and communities out there. Take the lesson from LT and enjoy the game.

It is quite hard to find a Minecraft Community as good as the Overclockers one, this server has a perfect of plug-ins and commands. I don't think I have ever seen the likes of 'lbtool' in another server before. I never played Minecraft singleplayer and only scratched the surface of the Multiplayer, this was the first server I had ever tried to put effort into, it was not like I intentionally griefed.
 
Adding people who moan to my ignore list has proven to be a very good idea.

All I am reading here is people praising the server etc :)
