Pritty disgusting to see this going on, no suprise really. There goes all the comments "our boys wouldnt do such a thing" in the urinating thread.

The accused pair — a sergeant and a private in the Mercian Battle Group — allegedly encouraged a boy and a girl to touch them through their clothes.

They are said to have filmed the children doing it before showing the footage to other soldiers on laptops

How about you read the story before trying to play it down. If you condone such behavior.... Pedo troops

i read the story as it was printed on the bbc website.

the suns says "allegedly" which means they can print just about anything and knowing the sun they will print whatever enrages their readers and gets them to tell everyone about it.
"oh look at this article i heard about in THE SUN , disgusting isnt it"

It should be pointed put that it was other British soldiers that reported the incident.....

And the same as I said in the other thread....they should be punished under the rules and laws they are sworn to uphold, but they should not be held up as indicative of either the British Forces as a whole or our societies moral competence.

So the OP thinks being a British soldier means you can't be a bit twisted or wrong in the head?

'Touch them through their clothes' is also very vague and could have come about in any number of ways.

Where did i say otherwise?

I think its quite clear what 'Touch them through their clothes' means. Its not vague at all, cant fathom why you would say such a thing.

We have child abusers in the church, schools, police-force, fire service, council workers, business owners & the celebrity circle.

Is it that surprising that we have some in the military also?.

They should be punished the same as anybody else would & dishonourably discharged (as they would if they worked for the police).

Props to the military men who turned them in, at least they are not trying to cover it up.

On a side note I really think it's about time we did some hard research into the causes of this kind of behaviour - in an attempt to prevent it (as if we are resorting to punishment it's too late).

Child abuse is far more prolific than most of the population currently thinks, when looking at the statistics on surveys done on the amount of women who had been abused/raped over there lifetimes it's depressing.

Obviously boys also get abused, but it's a significantly small number & mostly in childhood (not as adults)
