Sick in the head or a justified sense of humour?

Very disrespectful. Not much different from the idiot soldiers urinating on the dead Taliban.

Aye, holding up the severed head of a guy you are embalming with a smirk on your face is the same as peeing on a corpse. Defo!

Lol people who get offended make me :D

I don't think you understand what 'offended' actually means.....people are not offended, they are simply giving an opinion that it is unacceptable given his position and his duty to those that employ him and the family of the deceased who trust him to do his job with respect and decorum.

People who work in the emergency services and those who work in the medical profession deal with people who are fatally injured, dying, or dead on a daily basis.

Does this unfortunate yet totally natural aspect of their work mean it is ok to mock them?

I'm kinda conflicted. On one hand, it's a stupid thing to cry over seeing as it was just a personal picture that he never intended to 'spread around' anywhere. You need some sense of humor when dealing with the dead all day everyday.

On the other hand it IS disrespect to the dead, and I'm not sure if I can laugh about it and say "Oh stop getting so easily offended."

It's a sense of humour not that far away from jay794 in the cat thread......

....is it the same person?! :o

South Park is just toilet humour....it is ok if you have such an unsophisticated type of mentality, but while it can be amusing on occasion I think it is totally over-rated. Depends on my frame of mood.

As for the OP:

I suppose it could be seen as desecration of a human body.....in any case it is in very poor taste, this is not a joke body or a prop in a comedy sketch...it was a real live human being once and what would you feel if that was your Father/Mother/Brother/Sister's head he was having a cheap laugh with.

He is an embalmer and his position demands that all people who pass through his hands are dealt with respect and are certainly not used to a cheap joke down the pub.....can you imagine the upset this could cause to the family of the deceased.

Whether it is illegal or not, who can say...but he certainly should be disciplined by his employer at the very least and amusing to the casual observer or not his actions certainly are not acceptable for someone in his position.

South Park is more intelligent then just toilet humour ;)

I agree with the second part.

Lol people who get offended make me :D

You baffle me.

I don't think you understand what 'offence' means either.

If it was never intended to be seen by the family, who cares?

The issue I have is with his responsibilities as an embalmer....I am not convinced that the Police should be involved, but he definitely should be disciplined by his employer....that sort of behaviour is not acceptable in his position....I find it quite surprising that people think it is.

People have an expectation that their loved ones are treated with dignity and respect by those charged with dealing with their funeral....that includes the embalmer.

The head belongs to a person unknown to the OcUK poster.

Typical OcUK poster response: "Oh nothing wrong with that. How on earth can you get offended?! Just a bit of fun"

Replace unknown person with OcUK poster's family member.

OcUK poster response: "Words cannot describe how angry and disgusted I am. When I find the person responsible, I will torture them and cut off their limbs"

Hmm.

I love south park, I know I'm immature but so what? Jay and Silent Bob will always make me laugh. Nothing is funniest than seeing Steve-O on Jackass

I'll admit that what the guy did is insensitive, but a body is a body, it's not like the heads going to complain

To be fair, I don't watch it very often.......it does make me laugh on occasion when it is on, although I am not a fan of gross-out humour. I do think it is over-rated though.

I always hear people slagging it off, so I think it's underrated and not fully 'understood' by the majority of people who watch it. If you take it at face value it could probably be described as toilet humour. If you watch it more and pay attention a bit more it's a intelligently well written program, which parodies very well society and culture et cetra :)

Jay and Silent Bob is a totally different thing entirely......as is Dogma.

Both treasured films in my collection.

Freddy got Fingered wasn't too bad either.....

but South Park...I dunno, maybe it is because it is animated.

Off topic but whats wrong with toilet humour?

Everybody finds something funny, even racist and necrophilia jokes

haha, so I am stupid because I don't like South Park.....yeah cool.

I understand perfectly what it is...I simply don't think it does it very well.....it is certainly not underrated given the 'worship' it receives.
