back exercises

I need some advice and/or help with what kind of back excercises to do. I have a problem where my back automatic arcs/bends.. so when i am doing deadlifts for example, my back bends.. I know this is bad.. what kind of excercises should i be doing to combat/recitfy this?

start with core exercises to stabalize the back as the core takes a lot of the pressure off the back when doing everyday exercises and general stuff

good exercises are "plank" ones, though id stay away from any swiss balls as they are awfull

Thanks.. which excercises are you referring to please.. so i can google them?
 
Seriously, post a video of your deadlift.

You're looking for core stability, and probably increased proprioception (awareness of body position/mechanics).

shadowcreaper, planks would primarily work his anterior core, which is fine but only part of the picture. Also, there is nothing wrong with a swiss ball provided you're using it correctly, i.e. not doing situps or other weird twisty things.

Have you tried google-ing 'plank' exercises?

Another fun one is the 'deadbug', but even unweighted squats will help provided you can maintain good food through the movements.

The video will help determine whether you have a problem relating to bad technique, weaknesses, etc. so will be very helpful!

What is wrong with using the swiss ball for core?

I use it frequently for core, mostly balance type exercises.
