I see a lot of bashing happening about SWTOR and people crying endlessly about how miserable their lives are because of SWTOR. but I give them absolute credit and respect of trying their best to fix issues with the game and bringing them out fast and quick for the moaning community. definitely the game of the year 2011 for me followed closely by Skyrim. One that I will be playing for a long time to come. So this is basically an appreciation thread.

You could easily have just posted this, along with the other PLUS and NEGATIVE comments in the existing massive thread. Starting one for just likes is a little silly really, as it'll just die.

Enjoying TOR aswell, finally got it installed, only level 26 but love it so far, dont get why people are bashing it, plus people have to remember that it wont have every feature games like WoW has as TOR hasnt been out for 7+ years.

Get to 50 then you will get it.

That's kind of the point though isn't it. I have no sympathy for those that rushed to 50 during the head start, and then complain that there's nothing to do - when essentially they've just skipped all the content by mashing the space bar ;)

Rushing to 50? I didn't skip any of it and did all the heroics/flashpoints on my way to 50 in 4-5 days. What should people do? only play for a few hours a day so when they get 50 Bioware would have added more stuff? They should have delayed the game or spent less time on the voice acting.

This is totally incorrect saying that, I completed every zone and every bonus mission on every place apart from the last planet most others who hit 50 before me did literally everything. The only time I missed any content is when I was in a FP I had already done and would hit the space key.

Fair enough, perhaps I should aim more at the fact that 50 could be achieved before the game was released as an issue - what content is going to last when those with the time blow through everything inside days?

Its a tough one really, I mean I can understand arguments against those people who have blasted through content and then bemoan a lack of it, on the other hand, the argument that because its newer its acceptable to have things missing doesnt wash too well either. I mean, when I buy a new car, I dont decide that its ok if its missing the heated windscreen, air conditioning and powersteering of my old car on the basis that its a newer car. To me, certain things are fundamentals of a modern car design and should be included from the get-go, and similarly certain things are fundamentals of a modern MMO design and should be included from the get-go (ie. a fleshed out guild system)

I certainly see this pattern repeating itself with every MMO release of late, so something needs to be done somewhere.

the game was barely out in 2011 how can it be your GOTY?
and you give them credit for fixing a problem they generated and subsequently get paid to do?
people have the right to complain - they pay every month for a service and they expect it to be clean and efficient and not be glitched the **** out of.

I quite liked SWTOR and would probably give it another go one day but this arguement really winds me up.

Just because it is an MMO it should be allowed to release a sub standard product? What would people be saying if the new FIFA was released with features of other football games 7 years old but then EA say "lol don't worry we'll sort it out at some point" it wouldn't wash and it shouldn't here.

They have released an unfinished product in hope that people will lap it up, they have which is fair enough each to their own not me but I can see why some would. Where I personally drew the line is when they started to brush off/ignore players with gems such as shutting down the forums so people can't complain when they drop yet another clanger and saying issues are fixed when they are clearly not.

As I say I will try the game again one day but good job EA/BW? Trololololololol. Any muppet developer could release a 7 year old engine and stick a franchise tag on it to sell a load of units because thats all they have done.

4-5 days ? im just over 30 days and still only level 26 but then again i have a full time job and busy social life ;)

If people are going to play 16 hours a day 7 days a week they are going to complete content very fast.

Even if it shiped with double the content, you would still have finished it all.

That's what making alts is for.

Have you done all of the raid content, all hardmode flashpoints & got PVP rank 65 yet?.

Have you also got 8 L50's who have done all of the above?.

I doubt it.

I also blast through games quickly, but I'm aware that a side effect of this is running out of content quickly (without making alts) - the difference is I don't whine about it.

It's impossible for any developer to create games which cater for people who consume content that fast.

Even if they release a patch next week, adding another 50 levels - you will be complaining again in 2 weeks that you have done everything.
