*****Official Star Wars: The Old Republic Thread*****

I've been putting them up at guide price!

Will have to check going rates before putting the next lot up, methinks! :)

:D

You need to check the sell prices for everything you put up for sale first mate, some things (underworld trading and archaeology missions) sell way above guide price. The same goes for purple materials for both underworld trading and investigation (and i expect other gathering skills)

I also find that any decent blue and all my purple weapons level 15 - 21 (ish) will sell above guide price as well.

Apparently there's now a workaround for those who couldn't cancel.

Indeed, and if you tell people what it is on the TOR community forums, your post/thread will be deleted and you will be disciplined. Predictable enough that EA/Bioware don't want you unsubbing, but taking steps to actively prevent you from doing so is beyond reprehensible.

They've apparently also locked accounts after people have removed their CC info, preventing you from using the game time you have paid for unless you keep an active subscription and let them store your credit card details. IANAL, but IMO this is borderline criminal.

Decided to un-sub. Cant get into it the way I hoped.

Will return in a month or two to see if my appetite has been whetted whilst away :)

Too many X360 games to play too...

How many people are in "its a trap guild" atm? the front page says only 3:eek:

also if possible how do i add my in game name to the front page list so people can see which server i am on and my character name?

Theres a fair few but some are alts - probably around 15 uniques - we have 6 level 50's now - and some taking their sweet time :P

Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the groups I've formed the past few evenings.

I usually find teaming up with people in MMO's a bloody nightmare but everyone I've been working with has been really nice and we've helped each other with missions we don't have as well as the heroic shared ones.

I always found it a challenge in LOTRO or WOW to get anything decent going with other people but this was a pleasant surprise. Not to say there aren't good people in those games just that when you gang with a random from general chat more often than not they're an a**ehole :D

A similar thing happened in swg with Jedi farming bounty hunters to get up the force ranks.

I have started levelling a sorcerer and am enjoying him so much more than my marauder. Shooting lightning at people is much more fun. The marauder is just too bloody fiddly, has far too many situational cooldown dependant skills, to do well in pvp with the mara you need to be 100% concentrating and have very nimble fingers. Besides, they supposedly don't get properly powerful until you get to level 40 at least, and that's a long time to wait to be competitive.

At 50 the only class that could beat me most of the time in a 1v1 situation was an Operative. Every other class I could smash and pretty quickly. Assassin was I'd say a 50/50.

At 50 Marauder imo is one of the strongest classes but like you say you need to concerntrate and not have an issue with burning out your fingers.

When I'd get home from work say I was pushing 500K damage in a WZ by 1am I was barely doing 300K due to concentration dropping.

I can't agree more, some people are actually helpful and nice in this game.

I've run into the same people a few times and they would even reset the instance just to help some out.

Everytime I've asked for help with Group of Heroic 4 missions I've gotten help within a brief amount of time. I try and do the same as well, and some people really appreciate it and others are just annoying and rude.

I'm glad there's a few that are pleasant out there, and I know helping a few might encourage others to try and help as well.

I'd say the same thing about my Juggernaut (although for me 400k would be the good matches and 250-300 odd would be normal)... but, i recently rolled a bunch of alts up to around 30 and a sorc is one of them, it's so mind numbingly easy to play that class in comparison it's just silly. Anyone who does well on the melee classes in this game would excel on the Sorc/Sage and sorcs who i thought were good players before i now wonder whether they are just average because they get every tool in the book handed to them to do well.

I just nearly ragaed at my keyboard and this game.

I've been clicking and tapping Force Scream nonstop only to keep having my character raise his arms for the scream and then stop.

It keeps bloody happening, and it's so f'ing annoying!!!
The same for retaliate, ugh!! I've sent tickets about the issue since the game launched and that skill lag/ unresponsiveness is still there.

It's really ruining the game for me, I keep clicking and nothing happens over and over.

I checked my latency and it's at the normal 40-70 range, so it's not normal lag.

I really hate the retaliation one, where my guy just keeps spinning the lightsaber in his hands but doesn't attack.

I've been killed over and over by a normal enemy now because I can't hit or attack the bugger :/

I know exactly what you mean.

I've been pvping as an immortal spec juggernaut (I know i know, i don't have DPS or the "smash bomb" - but I can can get right stuck in, hard to kill & can interupt/stun/chock like a boss :) - so much effort to be effective but great fun.

I then logged onto my L11 trooper - first pvp match (vanguard spec) - 210k damage, top of both teams - beat the next person by 100k....

I could not believe it, I could do incredible amounts of damage with virtually no skills just because of the advantage of being at range..., R-DPS have it so easy in this game it's unreal.

I hear that, retaliation and force smash are the two main culprits for me.

Like this?

Also, had a laugh yesterday sneaking up on the zerging empire

Problem is, even with a third faction people take the path of least resistance, they help the winning side, it's what happened in anarchy online, who's to say it's any different.

Does anyone know if there are any optimised ATI drivers in the works? My main bugbear is with performance.

And don't get me started on load times :(. I don't understand why mine are so poor.
