Does it matter that I bought 550Mhz cable?

I just bought a 30M snagless cat6 cable that has '550mhz' in the name and just after buying it realised that I don't actually know why I bought that one as I didn't read up about it..

So um I have a z68ap-d3 motherboard which has a Realtek RTL8111E chip (10/100/1000 Mbit) onboard that i'll be using.

The terrible thought I had was that it wouldn't be compatible for some reason.. Though I'm sure I just spent £10-15 more than I needed too and it'll end up being complete overkill..

So..What does the 550mhz rating refer too? And will it be compatible? I'm on a 35mb line from virgin media with a superhub.

Thanks guys

It's the frequency the cable has to carry in order to achieve the desired speed, so to speak.

250mhz is needed for gigabit whilst 10gigabit requires 500mhz over 100m. [iirc]
