Hi All,

It's a motors-related excel question really. I want to create a spreadsheet where i can compare 2 scenarios and see at what mileage the crossover point is.

Scenario 1: mileage rate of Xp per mile

Scenario 2: mileage rate of Yp per mile plus annual lump sum of £Z

I hope I've explained it properly and hope someone can help...

It's pretty simple, just do one column with miles in it, one where you do miles x rate X and another where you do miles x rate Y + lump

You could do it with Goalseek or something but given the above seems to have eluded you, that may be a bit advanced :p

Hi All,

Where:-
Xp = 45p
Yp = 25p
£Z = £2000 (Net of Tax / NI)
Mileage = 10,000

Mileage/Xp = £4500
Mileage/Yp = £2500
((Mileage/Yp)+£Z)) = £4500

Using the figures above, if an annual mileage above 10,000 were projected, £Z + Yp would be greater than Xp...
