I'm in agony and you'll all end up like this.

Get yourself a pair of these before it's too late :p.

P.s Worth seeing a consultant on the issue of your drugs and what not? You've mentioned a mixup before which led to impaired mobility, so maybe it's worth seeing the ramifications of this?

I'm fine now, it's like a miracle.
I can get straight up out of a chair and walk now I'm off the Simvastatin (thanks for remembering).

Any idea what you slipped on?

I walked on the inside of the parked IT vans so I think it was overgrown grass/mud.

Sue them!
Actually don't do this.

Do you know what department I work in :)
I don't think I can take my own case on and there's no way my colleagues are reading my medical records.

Funnily enough the only person who knows about it is the Health & Safety Secretary who came out just after I got up and saw me bleeding.
I hope she doesn't report it to her 2 bosses.

Sorry to hear that dude and I hope you get better soon!

I dont mean to sound mean but I believe it is a state of mind when it comes to age. I have lived extensively in Asia specially in Nepal & Bhutan and I notice things are very different there compared to our western culture when it comes to age.

Older people are respected and looked up to - but the real eye-opener for me was the way the elders just carry on living like nothing happened.

During a recent visit (just last Christmas actually) I went trekking there again and while tramping through the mountains came across a 75yr old (yes we asked) granpa carrying a small TREE TRUNK on his shoulder while puffing away on a cig. He had an old sweater on with holes in it, torn jeans and a woolly hat and gave us all a grin. Had a good natter with him and he said he been doin this for ages collecting firewood. I asked if he felt pains and if it wore him down and he smiled and said of course not! And off he went humming and puffing away (up a STEEP slope) - at a decent clip mind, he was not hobbling! Far far fitter than I was.

Shockingly I find that here in the UK someone in their late 30s is already called "old" and its called "getting older". Lmao. Oh please. Old = 90!

you meet one old man carrying a tree therefore its all in the mind. I have lived in asia for 10+ years and can tell you that there are just as many infirm old people as there are here...

My dad fell of a ladder last week. Fractured ankle and devere bruising on his side, (he's 67). Gonna be in plaster for at least five weeks. Im 36, and a few years ago i suffered a similair fracture, i was only in plaster for three weeks or so as it healed up pretty quickly.

I hope you had a good laugh about it afterwards :) and nothing more serious happened

my father was coming down the stairs and "lightly brushed" the balustrade and managed to break his toe! i have to say i laughed like a drain for weeks, and it still gives me a good chuckle :D

(my father and i have great banter btw, nothing malicious :) )

Sorry I had to lol Dimple.

Love that Mertallica tune!!! Is it your band in that video? If yes which one lol?
