The best TIM and thermal pads for gpu's ?

I've just ordered a 7970 and getting a waterblock to match it and was wondering....

1. What is the best non-conductive TIM on the market ? last time i checked it was one off the MX series.

2. Also is there any diffrence in thermal pads, compared to the EK ones?

The best TIM is the IC Diamond at the moment, but OcUK are out of stock, so if you need it now, go for the Arctic Cooler MX-4.

The closest I can find to thermal pads is the Akasa AK-TT12-80 Thermal Adhesive Tape. This should work nicely mind!

Personally i thought that the IC Diamond was rubbish. It's hard to work with and remove and it only gave me a very slight drop over MX2.

I have found that Akasa tape to be very good. I use it when i transfer my ramsinks from card to card. It does'nt lose it's stickiness over time like some other tapes do.

For GPU's Prolimatech Pk-1 is the best TIM

For CPU's Indigo Xtreme, and then PK-1
