I've played the tutorial matches but they only cover the game mechanics, not the champion mechanics. Not really sure what the roles are ect either, so looking for a real Newbie friendly guide really.

Also, I was intrigued about the "Pay by Mobile" payment option for Riot Points, and spent £30 on them before even stepping into my first game... So what should I waste them on? Any particularly good champion or bundle to buy?

I'd say play with the current free ones against the AI and see what you prefer playing. It changes every tuesday I think and will have new ones every week. If you find one you like then buy it and start playing against other players.

This gets you the most used build at the top and these will explain a lot about how to play your hero.

Just remember don't let others ruin your game, there's slot of kids that are very vocal during games so just ignore them and don't let then put you off. I'd also say play it safe when playing until you understand your champ and what others can do to you. If you provide the enemy with easy kills all your doing is making them stronger and don't be afraid to ask for backup if it's needed.

I've started to win a few games now and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it now. I've been using Alister (because I got him free from the link a few pages back :)). I'm liking his w dash technique for poking.
 
I'm loving Jax, first game I felt I was like the old jax and just jumped in the middle of everyone and then died lol however after slowly getting used to him I think jungle Jax is now my Favorited jungler ( since being back )

He is now a very strong ganker with his on demand stun.

Had a game with a super fed Yi yesterday and he was back dooring like a pro litterally Yi could kill my whole team single handily but my Jax would drop him in like 3 seconds ( half of that time I'm dodging like a baws! )

Jungling seems so easy now and it is fun, Shaco seems very strong atm too.

Have you tried his knock back and knock up combo? Time it right it is a whole world of hurt.

On another note had the strangest team in the world last night, litterally all 5 would spend up to 3 mins waiting in a bush for someone to go past, we couldn't ward or anything due to oracle and the bush waiting lol. Was funny -.-

Probably had something to do with the IEM tournament, must have given them something to copy (Cause they pro and have to change the meta). No cv? Couldn't all just go down one lane and avoid them? :p

Yea we had CV but did have a few new players who did wonder through the jungle -.- Also they had a very nasty team fight, they had 3 silences, 4-5 stuns/cc and we had all of about 1 lol. So we tried to avoid them but honestly everywhere we went they were there. Even in lanes they would be waiting in a bush somewhere all ready to cc and gank.

Don't think I'd been as spanked as that in a long time. We did have 2 very new players but still I don't think the outcome would have changed, they had amazing focus and strange tactics that really threw us -.-

We CVed a bush one time... They ran away, then literally went back in the bush and the 2 new guys ran past and BAM! lol.
 
I have seen over 10 jungle shyvannas in my last 10 games. The best part is they all tried to aggressively counter jungle and failed miserably 90% of the time.

Had a couple of these last night when i was trolling normals with mates :D Were they doing it because of a tourny or something, tis what i heard?
 
Took a break from LOL after the end of Season one, started playing the odd game or two this past week. Was taken by surprise last night at how good Sivir has become, had huge trouble against one in a lane last night. I then proceeded to have a few games with her myself, she has become pretty brutal.

Also saw my fair share of Shyvanna and Mordekaiser mids last night.
 
The tournaments are great for easy wins. You can farm teams trying to use hilarious high micro tactics that they can't pull off.

Rumour mill has it that Sona, Sivir and Shyvanna are getting nerfs, which is annoying as Sona is my fav support and Sivir is the only ranged carry I am even vaguely competent with. :(

While I do not have enough Sivir games yet to make a good judgement, my guy instinct so far is that she does need a small nerf.

Boomerang past level 4 becomes far to devastating if you catch them with both hits. I know this is dodge able and requires some thought on the Sivir players part but I think the damage may be a little to high.
 
Downloaded this today and i love it. I have about 1700 points to get a new champion but im not sure what to get. Ive been playing the dragon lady and found it the most fun so far but i also like to summon minions and the like are there any champions that summon?

The only one I can think of right now is Yorrick who summons ghouls that do different things.
 
I decided to buy the Digital Collectors Edition, and I've been playing with Cho'Gath and really enjoying it. Sadly, I've been put on some pretty terrible teams. I'm not saying I am good by any stretch of the imagination, but in one game last night, my team had 10 kills - 9 of which were mine, and 39 deaths - 2 of which were mine.

They better leave sona the **** alone. First they stole her locket, then they made her heal self and single target. Smoothing out the heal curve was good. Any more nerfing and she will be unplayable. Right now she is pretty spot on balanced.
 
I sometimes hate playing with randoms, i've had a good few games today, some brilliant games overall and some pretty horrible ones.

It's the ones where a certain player or two just feeds to opposite team and when you mention "if you can't handle it tower hug until your have the gear" they reply with "OMG STFU NOOB YOUR ****" it's like WTF seriously your loosing us the game but calling me the noob?
