Curious, as I plan to purchase the EVGA 460 GTX..

How much PSU would be needed, would appreciate if you guys could recommended me one, it would also be nice if it's in budget, assuming £50 would be enough, I hope..

I've ordered a couple of components too...

i5 2500k, Asus P8Z68-V LX and a 8GB DDR3 Corsair 1600MHz..

Cheers...

530W would be ample, 600W would be better especially if you intend to OC the CPU and GPU plus it covers you in the future for upgrades. There is a coolermaster 500W modular supply which is bang on your budget.

It might be wise to opt for the 6850 instead. I'm a big fan of that 460 as a budget gaming card. Although your mobo you have bought doesn't do SLI (i dont think). The 6850 is pretty close to the 460 and uses less power......plus you could add another one later if you wanted a bit more "poke".

A 500W like I listed is ample, also Crossfire on that motherboard is 16X/4X, not ideal.

Okay, seeing as the motherboard doesn't support SLi/Xfire, is there any other alternatives that would allow me to have access to SLI at the same budget?

Sorry for the questions, it's my first build/upgrade =]

Yeah i was thinking of the same PSU stulid. I did say 500W ish was ample. The 6850 is cheaper and uses less juice so he could afford a slightly more powerful PSU. He might want to add a much better GPU later so getting a 600Wish supply isnt a bad idea, seeing as he'll have it for quite some time.

Thank you for pointing out the Xfire speeds. I was about to check the mobo specs but no need now :)

That 460 is a good card and is on offer at the mo. If it goes back to £120 again atleast you know the 6850 is an option.

Stulid knows his stuff, i'm not disagreeing with him, he'll never see you wrong

Apart from changing the motherboard, no.
