WD release NEW **WDTV LIVE PLAYER**

This may be a bit basic, will one of these stream directly from my NAS? Net gear ready NAS duo?

If so I think I'll be ordering one pretty soon.

I've ripped all my dvds in the folder format as it was the quickest way to do it without worrying about converting into anything, and My Movies in Media Centre picks them up fine, additional features and all. Id rather not have to convert them all.

I've found that there is no audio from the left headphone, when using this machine. Any way to fix? :(

Are you plugging your headphones into the back of it? If so the 3.5mm jack on the back of it isn't your typical stereo out it's a Composite A/V 3.5mm output.

I got my SMP yesterday and I love it. So much more stable and responsive for me compared to using the PLEX client/server method.

Has anyone tried using any of the themes on the WD Community forums? The themes are designed for the Hub but will work (mostly) on the SMP as well. I'd like to try out some of those fancy moviesheets. If anyone is using any of the themes HERE I'd like to know which one and whether it works ok.

The themes I've tried worked fine on my SMP but I've found most to be a bit tacky for want of a better expression.

I got one of these for Christmas and was very disappointed with it. Mine did appear to be faulty though - and has gone back as such. It took an entire day (over 12 hours at a minimum) to collate all my content. This was with an external HDD directly connected to it so wasn't a network issue. Once it had collated it, it couldn't pick up half of what the content was despite XBMC being fine with it. Then it crashed - a lot. Every time it crashed it needed to be hard-reset so it needed to index all my content again - so I'd watch maybe two programs and then I'd have to leave it for a day. I couldn't believe how poor it was so checked the official forums and there seemed to be a lot of people suffering with similar problems. Happy to be rid of it honestly.

How do I go about setting that up?

My SMP is connected to the family TV so trying to find a window of time for tinkering is proving difficult.

You need to create a "Media library" and then you can setup the content info scraping in the options. If I get time later I'll take some photos of the relevant options.

This is what it will look like once setup -

Looks good mate. A definite improvement on the default view.

I see you've got the weather showing in celsius. Mine is still showing fahrenheit but I guess that can be changed in the settings.
