*****Do not read this thread if you plan to play AC: Revelations*****

Hey all.

I just finished AC: Revelations. I bought AC1 when it came out but did not get into it. I loved AC2 though. Brotherhood was average but buying all the shops and buildings just felt pointless (although Revelations was the same).

The end was good but I do wonder what happened to Ezio. I half expected him to sit in a chair too like Altair did. I felt the story was decent but the Templar Den attacks were annoying and it felt like GTA San Andreas where whenever I go anywhere somewhere at the other end of the map was under attack. Also I did not like the new health bars as much.
I did like the memories of Altair each time I found a key as it filled in the story that I was missing from AC1.

All in all though I think it was worth my time to play. It felt kind of sad at the end knowing that it had all come to an end. I didn't bother with the side quests or online. Now I have finished the series do feel AC: Brotherhood was just filler material though.

Just wondering what the other OCUKers thought of this game and/or the whole AC series :).

I liked the story and the series. It had its flaws. Den attacks? what were they thinking!?!! And the shop buying was a bit of a pain. I used to leave my game on over night while i slept and just spend in the morning. lol.

But overall i enjoyed revelations and the series as a whole.

Like many people I bought the first and thought it was gash. I played it for a few hours and then completely ignored the series until Brotherhood. After deciding to give it another go I grabbed AC2 and Brotherhood loved them; Brotherhood gave me my first all-night gaming session in years.

Revelation was OK, but clearly milking the series of every last penny. It lacks the depth (such as it is in AC games) of the previous two games, but it was nice to finish out Ezio's story.

I'm assuming you missed the bit where he explains that he plans to retire and start a family, which apparently he does. That we have to order yet another side-title in the series to get access to Assassins Creed: Embers (a 21 min bonus short film that follows Ezio into his senior years, and ultimately his peaceful death of natural causes) blows, but hey, it's Ubisoft.

Overall though, I'd recommend anyone who dismissed the series after the first game to give it another look. I'm looking forward to AC3.

I love AC games, I thought Revelations was pretty good, though it was getting a bit tired by the end.

The ending was good but a little underwhelming for me.

It sort of felt like Tomb Raider to me on the PS1 in the sense that the series was good and each game added something new. However after a few games the new material added was so little each time that the game became dry. Tomb Raider 4 (Revelations) and 5 (Chronicles) were good, but by that time it was dragged out to the max.
