New car! (warning: contains marmite)

I used to hate these but they have grown on me, or rather my disdain has waned.

For the right price i'd own one as i would never want another saloon car as they're just to massively impractical for pretty much every aspect of my life :(

Just got rid of my 318ti, excellent handling car and truly one of the funest BMWs I've driven.

They look great with the M-sport bumpers too, enjoy!

I have always liked these, especially the front lights and actually think they look as good if not better than the saloon. I'm not really sure why though maybe its the "I'm a coupe honest" thing.

Ugliest car ever? Uglier than a 5 series GT? uglier than a 1 series, Uglier than a x1, uglier than the new 1 series, (a car that has headlights that make it look like a demented horse). In that company that car doesnt look too bad :)

Personally i think the new 1 series looks like a sloth from the front

Look at the front of a new 1 series.

Then look at a sloths face

Identical :p

Needed a hatch really, though I did try and justify a coupe. I quite often need to lug about lighting equipment and other photographic paraphernalia which could have been a real squeeze in the saloon/coupe. Plus there's the possibilty of getting a dog in the next year or so (not to mention my parents dog which often visits), although that was far from a deciding factor.
And (ironically) I'm not a huge fan of the e46 Saloon styling!

Why didn't you get an estate?

It's a bit funny looking but fundamentally a good car. I don't really see how anyone could say otherwise.

Why didn't you get an estate?

Estates have a bit of an "old man" image, especially with the fairer sex. Image is important to most people when buying a car. I have an estate but I'm a massive nerd so it's not really an issue :D.

So he bought a car whose primary clientele is homosexuals and women?
Given the amount of MX5's that belong to members of this forum, I think that is a fairly weak argument.

Re. Estate: I'm fickle, and at 25 really don't want to be driving one, although in a world of sensible shoes its a fair call.
