****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Did anyone try changing the 3D option in Revelations Menus?

I put it on Very Strong...and once you get your viewing angle right it looks even better in 3D! It's set to normal by default and has options of Strong and Very Strong.

Give it a go as the Depth in the game is enhanced even further than the slider itself :)

Anyone else pick up the Mario Kart 7 Wheel grip accessory? I get pretty bad hand cramp with my 3DS so hoping this will make it a lot more comfortable.

I got the Hori wheel grip and it's so much more comfortable, not just for MK7 but for other games too. Totally worth it pal!!!

I get hand cramp too, kind of wish they brought out a 3DS XL straight away. Playing Zelda for hours left me with numb fingers :(

I agree, 3D is nearly always off unless its a cut scene or something then it may get turned back on. But it really doesn't interest me.

In the past I've had games before the release date, on the scheduled date and also late so I guess there's no telling.

I just gave the demo a play and I was quite impressed, it's the first game that I've also preferred with a bit of 3D as I usually turn the slider to the off position. The enemies were Silent Hill esque and anything is better than the Majini from RE5! The atmosphere was fantastic, really spooky and it didn't really feel like I was on a ship at all. Obviously there's only so much you can tell from a demo that only lasts a few minutes.

I turned the aiming from first person to third person which I preferred, the graphics were surprisingly good for a Nintendo handheld as well! One thing I will say is that the game didn't give me much idea of what to do with the items in my inventory. I picked up some custom gun parts and it didn't tell me which gun they were for, or how to apply them. Overall though it's quite promising, at least it doesn't seem to be a great big arcadey action fest. :)

Great! Sounds awesome how were the controls? Im not buying the extra pad thing so did it fair well with out it?

I have sold mine on ebay and wiped it but I understand that to retain Ambassador status I need to leave my eshop account on it - as I never bought anything on it and don't remember ever creating any sort of login is this safe to do? It just seems to hold a list of stuff I have downloaded - nothing else?

Pullblox

I don't know if any of you guys are into the 3DSWare titles but if you are defiantly check out Pullblox (Pushmo in the US).

Its a fantastic little puzzler by intelligent systems (advance wars, fire emblem )where you have to rescue kids from the top of the block puzzles by pushing pulling and jumping your way up to them.
250 levels are included in the game and after that you can get stuck into the level editor and make you own or download other users levels by scanning QR codes. :)

Here's the trailer which explains things better than I do!

Resident Evil: Revelations should have number in title - producer

By Tom Phillips Published 24 January, 2012

Wanted to "remove any dissatisfaction from before".

Resident Evil: Revelations should have been a numbered release to promote the fact it is a "full-on" Resident Evil game and not another spin-off, its producer has admitted.

In other words, Resident Evil: Revelations would have been Resident Evil 6. It would also have had that logo.

"Maybe I shouldn't say this, but looking at the finished game makes me think why we didn't slap a number on the title," Revelations producer Masachika Kawata said in a new Iwata Asks interview.

"It's a true-as-can-be Resident Evil game from head to toe, so please enjoy it."

While praising Resident Evil 4, Kawata explained that the Revelations team wished to "remove any dissatisfaction from before".

The series' last numbered release, Resident Evil 5, received a lukewarm reaction from fans and critics alike.

"The first thing I thought was I wanted to make a full-on Resident Evil game rather than just port the series into a handheld system and set that as my goal," Kawata added.

"Another thing was that, whereas Resident Evil 4 had changed the model for the series of the numbering titles from there on out, I wanted to get back to the origins of the series by returning the direction to its horror roots. We created a team that could create a truly frightening Resident Evil."

Nice to see they considered this a full sequel and not just a handheld port and a return to the horror roots is what the series has lacked since Resident Evil 4 to an extent, this game should bring back the whats round the corner factor :p

The horror element shows in the demo, Its quite empty and you are quite on edge at least for me, even though its on a boat the bit where you go into that dining area reminded me of Resident evil 1

Same for me...indeed it is reassuring to hear that the full game will follow along those line.

Nintendo Power have given it a 9, citing best looking game on the system and marking it down for the "mess" of a storyline apparently  I'll be the judge of that :p

ALSO ZAVVI took my payment today for my Res Evil/Circle Pad bundle...£29.95 :D Should be shipped today hopefully since they don't charge until shipping ;)

For RE:R is the Circle Pad Pro really only for lefties?

I liked the demo. Very much like the original RE with vastly superior graphics. I've not played any others in the series, but have RE4 on my 'list'.
