Just thought I would share this with you lot.

A couple of Months ago I decided to ask the Manchester united office if it was possible to get my Grandads Bobby charltons Autobiography signed by him. They told me that it was not possible and he only signs for charity. I decided screw it, im posting the book directly to him at Old Trafford, What was the worst that could happen? After a month I figured the book had long gone, 2 days ago I recieved the original book signed by my grandads Idol Sir Bobby Charlton with a good luck message. Accompanied by this was a formal letter from Sir Bobby himself wishing my grandad the best of luck in life and if he ever wanted anything like it again to not hesitate and just ask.

My Grandad was over the moon that I did this. I would post a pic of the book and letter but its now framed at his house.

What a guy Sir Bobby is

Sometimes you need to be bold and just ask.

I have a friend (member here) who when looking for her first car, wanted advice. So what do you do when you look for advice?

Ring Top Gear !

She did just that and some how along being passed between admin and reception she was speaking to none other than Clarkson himself lol

Very nice.

I did something similar, got the chairman of one of the 2 footy teams my dad supports to sign 2 certificates granting him access to 2 games free of charge (I've paid the ticket price in advance, though!)

That's really nice of him! :)

Could have just asked Fox. :D

Awesome! Between this and the Sainsbury's letter I'm a happy bunny.

*Lightbulb* We should have a good news thread!
