Okay guys im totally new to water cooling, I have a Sealed unit for cooling the CPU but im looking into making some more space inside my case.

So in my basket I have the following items.

XSPC Razor GTX580 GPU Waterblock **Also Supports GTX 570**
EK Single Bay Reservoir - Acetal
EK DCP 2.2 Pump (12v)
EK CoolStream Radiator XT 120 (120.1)
Masterkleer Hose Pack PVC 16/10mm (3/8ID) UV-Reactive Black 3,3m
Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 Watercooling Fluid 1L

Im slightly confused by all the "Nipples that fit into the Rads and tubing, could someone advise me on what ones i should use to build this loop ?

I hope I can sue the original back plate that comes with the 570.

What case?

For fittings (far more family friendly than nipples!) just use compressions in the appropriate size, the ek ones are great and well priced.

I'd also change the pump to a ddc/d5 with top for better performance.

Get a bigger radiator ideally a 360 and add a cpu block at the same time.

You'll also need an additive for the pure h2o, either a killcoil/biocide.

I have a Fractal R3, I only have room for a Single rad as I have a sealed cooler from Antnec cooling my i5.

Fittings wise, do they all fit in a standard threaded hole size with differently tapered ends ?

I/E they all thread into a 1/2" hole but can have smaller fluted end ?

As lrlcr alluded to, youd be better ditching your sealed unit (Antec Khuler I see) and doing a proper water set up, you could get a 240 in the roof, then fit a 120 either at front (if possible) or at bottom maybe (if you cant remove/mod HDD rack)

But it would depend on your budget?

I can't get the double rad in the top there is not enough room from the mobo to the fan brackets, unless I mount it on the top of the case on the outside, so the single rad will have to do, hence only cooling the GPU.

However when I have some more money I could go with the double rad on the top.

EK Single Bay Reservoir - Acetal
go for a cheaper bay res
EK DCP 2.2 Pump (12v)
better pump recommended, eg 4.0 pump or DDC
EK CoolStream Radiator XT 120 (120.1)
Can you stretch to a phobya G changer rad?
Masterkleer Hose Pack PVC 16/10mm (3/8ID) UV-Reactive Black 3,3m
Go for 7/16 tubing and 1/2 barbs OR 7/16 compressions. 2 per component
Mayhems Ultra Pure H20 Watercooling Fluid 1L
when factoring in kill coils/biocide, a premixed fluid is better

Possibly

I would hazard a guess that a 120 rad might not be enough to cool that card. I just built my first watercooling loop using a 360 rad which is only cooling my i7 (although at 4.6Ghz) and that can get just over 50C. I would take a bit more time over it and cut the top of the case to fit a 240 on the top with the barbs coming in the 5.25" bays. Thats what I ended up doing but had to get it wrong first to realise.

This is what i ended up doing: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18349631

You only really need to look at the pcitures to get the idea. Also it would be easy to extend the hold to fit a 360 in the furture and you can still have your 120 in the hard drive bays, maybe even another 240 as you only have 1 HDD.

Thanks for the tips guys, i might externally mount a double rad like suggested, and go for a better pump, after looking at my case with some long screws i can fit the double rad directly above the two top fans.

Thanks for the clarification of the barbs and pipes it was all very confusing !

I have modded my GTX 480 with the Khuler H2O 620

It works a treat!

Looking at the OPs planned routing diagram it look like you have either the GPU block or the rad between the reservoir and the pump.
I thought the rule was you should always have the reservoir directly before the pump?
