Well there is no dedicated block for these so was thinking of doing this

The black squares are small heatsinks that i have from my prolimatech mk 13

i'm just really worried that flimsy piece of aluminium will not keep the cards parts cool enough so thought the heat might transfer through the aluminium up into the heatsinks keeping it colder, that and i can combine it with a sub 800rpm fan to blow some air across the heat sinks.

what do you guys think

Other people have done this succesfully so it should work, you can buy proper VRAM heatsinks

I have this same problem too... I've been trying to decide for weeks what to do. I think I am going to sell my 2X560Ti 1GB and purchase a single 560Ti 2GB that has a full block

Keep you 560Ti SLI and wait for kepler ;)

If the metal plate has been keeping the VRAM cool then, then it'll keep it cool now as long as you have proper airflow.
