Cheapest dongle to get HDMI from iPad 2?

They seem to be around £25~£50 which seems ludicrous to me, so any of you Apple people know of where I can get one for a sensible price? i.e. around a tenner ;)

Bought the genuine item the other day on the high street for £35, works great, picture on a 50 inch plasma is excellent..... If you can afford an iPad I guess Apple figure you can afford 35 quid accessory.

That's what gets on our goat! They should have HDMI output built in! Even the cheap rubbish tablets have it! GGrrrrrrr

Plus the SD card reader and the USB adaptor that won't power anything so you can't use CF readers !!! :mad:

Airplay will be sound only.

If you use a powered USB hub it will work, but it is annoying how little power the iPad can supply from its dock connector

It's around 50mA depending on what version of ios your using; enough for some things, not enough for other things
