Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I've spent two hours trying to get into many different servers and just cannot get past the black screen you get when you are joining a server. Half the time the graphics driver recovers with a balloon message, the rest of the time it just sits there. Either way I never get to the spawn screen.

This is the first time I've tried to play since Monday.

Not happy...

Thing is angst, the game was fine before the inclusion of the slider. I had no issues prior to the patch that it was included with.
 
I have mine half way Neil and i get wicked reg I find all the way to the left or all the way to right I get really bad reg! I always adjust it around the middle depending on the server and my reg is spot on!

So try that!

Yes mine was fine before the patch aswell but i'm just trying to help with the current condition of the game. :)

How is that playable? :confused:, there's a pretty huge delay from what i'm seeing on my screen and what is actually happening. Though I can go play later on the same server and it'l be fine!

Maybe there are torrents going down or someone watching iplayer on your line? Alternatively you might just be playing at a peak time and your local exchange is a bit swamped, but later when there is less traffic normal action is resumed.

When things get laggy, i tend to power off/on my cable modem, then router then PC and see what' a gwan after that.

Make sure the services is running, you can do this via services.msc. You could always download the pbsvc program that makes sure it is running ok, get it from here

Done that already, uninstalled Pb ran registry cleaner and manually checked for any traces of pb in the reg, rebooted and reinstalled pb and checked for updates, i can get in the SaS servers but not UKCS or LtMatts.....wondering if it's anything to do with GGC or PBbans although checked my guid on both of those and doesn't look like any bans....now officially stumped!
 
right, just went to fire up battlefield to be met with this:

UAC isn't even running, so WTF?!

anyone know how to get around this?
