Price drop? 0o...

I see the core edition currently on offer for even less, nearly £15 pounds cheaper @ a competitor e-store. I feel your deals are underwhelming and need to be improved, certaintly I know I expected better reading that thread title, and had the price been in line with my hopes/expectations, I think I would have parted with cash, but as it stands, I think I will hang on for the "real" price reductions.

If they are IN STOCK and cheaper I shall look to match! :)

But from my searching around OcUK is the cheapest IN STOCK company. Anyone can advertise a price with no stock, its called been desperate to catch an order than you risk waiting, well a long time potentially.

A bit like you're doing with the OcUK card, that you've coincidently put up in price to make up the difference of the drop in the in stock ones.

You're as bad as all the other etailers messing around with these prices.

From the FAQ's - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/faq.php?faq=vb_read_and_post#faq_new_faq_item

No anti-OcUK posts
OcUK will never allow these forums to be used by those who would seek to tarnish our name, no matter how justified they feel their circumstances are. Posts of an offending nature slagging off OcUK, demoralising or demeaning the company name, complaints about bad service, etc. will not be tolerated.

No we are not!

OcUK card has had an ETA of the 27th February since launch!
Those who ordered at £419.99 have had their orders honored and shall be shipped today. OcUK card is in stock today as per the ETA guidelines.

So we've not mislead anyone in any way at all.

Can get msi one for £419...

Can get Gigabyte one for £437...

Both in stock.

Agreed these weekend prices are meh!

I will tell you now if anywhere has MSI in stock at £419.99 get it bought, they won't last for long or that many. Superb price! :)

I apologize for my inaccuracy, I did not see the XFX core edition cheaper, it was the Sapphire card I saw, and is currently on offer for £431.99 elsewhere. However what I said I still stand by, when you make a post claiming a really good weekend deal, please at least make it hard to resist, because with those prices it really is far to easy to just click on that red X to the top right of my screen.

Sorry but best price for the XFX cards and in stock, how is that not good. Those who want an XFX 7970 or an overclocked XFX 7970 these are the best prices and IN STOCK!

£469.99 Inc. VAT for a 1000MHz core 7970 and 5700MHz on the memory out of the box is a good deal. :)

Well I will be fair here, considering the price the black edition came out at, then yes that reduction is a decent %, but the core edition is what?, maby £10 pounds cheaper at best..?. Come on, you can do better than that for a "weekend deal". Give us the same % reduction on the core edition as you applied to the black edition and I will consider buying one today.

I am not defending Gibbo but surely if you see it cheaper elsewhere buy it! I have brought things cheaper from competitors, but don't feel the need to moan on here about overclockers prices.

If I did that, we'd be selling it below cost. There is more margin in OC models compared to regular stock models, hence larger reduction on Black Edition model.

Andrew, I don't like to say this, but it wasn't very hard to find a cheaper one at £459.98 inc. vat - 29 in stock. I'm not surprised why this deal thread isn't very popular at the moment.

It's from a big "e" tailor ;)

I think you guys should count yourselves lucky. We have jack **** competition over here in oz! The prices are sky high and I dont see them coming down any time soon.
