Glad I bought a BMW warranty!!!!!!

This is good news for me. Hoping to get mine as soon as the warranty from the dealer I bought it from runs out. It's still under 60k, so hopefully won't be paying too much!

Mine is £113 per month full comp with no excess. I havent had to use it for anything yet. Might seem daft but I want something to go wrong so I can break even on the money I have spent so far!!

I pay about £400 a year to Warranty Direct on my E90 - not claimed yet so can't comment on the service.

I was paying 480 on my E61. The difference between WD an Modial isn't much for you I wouldn't risk it. I'm just glad my claim with WD wasn't for something a lot more, my car is now back under Mondial and lesson learnt.

'Essentially'.

They are fine if the claim is 100% cut and dried. When it's not, and often things are not, well, good luck.

Indeed to this! They did pay out £850 for a slipped cambelt on my previous car though!

After having dealt with warranty direct on a number of occasions for claims on customers cars I definitely couldn't recommend them, if they do pay its often only around 1/4-1/6th of the final bill.

AA warranty seems pretty good, they seem much more understanding about knock on effects etc.

A slave cylinder on a normal manual doesn't cost 2k to fix.

what else has gone wrong? You said something about cooling?

The sMG has a different and much more expensive slave cylinder.

I've just paid £1870 to extend a one year Lexus warranty to three years on a 57 plate LS 600h L. Worth it to me for the peace of mind.

Covers everything except wear and tear items.

I wish I could have a BMW warranty.

My driver's window hasn't been winding down for a while now, and then today when I tried to open it there was a bang, and now it opens and closes fine.
I'm dreading the day it gets stuck open :(

Mind you, that probably wouldn't have been covered anyway. Could've been hand regarding the £1500 of other costs though.
And the imending failure of the cooling system.

Window regulator....get it fixed man. I won't get stuck in the down position mind you, if it snaps the window will wind all the way up and stay up.
