sigh

sold a pair of XT wheels last week to someone on another forum
the rear had just been serviced the week before and the front seemed fine

just got an email from them saying the recieved them ok but that the front hub needs servicing and that they can send me the £20 bill if i want to see it

these wheels were worth £400 retail new and the disc rotors (three of them) included are another £50 worth

I only got £80 for them including the £12.50 postage costs! should I feel guilty for telling them that I wont be refunding the £20?

sigh!

My bike for the season,

2012 Giant Anthem X1

seatpost and bars have been upgraded to Giant SLR carbons and i fitted the Hope SX3 wheelset today with stans no tubes sealant.

What about the Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres?? Supposed to have very good reports on them. IIRC, someone on here is running them

I want to try them! :D

Grrr. Just found out people were building a new DH track near me on FC land. Cutting down trees FFS. It's annoying when the FC spent a shed load of money building stuff and explaining there are areas of special scientific interest, for morons to come and ruin everything!!!!

Well tubeless was a lot easier to do than I thought! Just done the front wheel, went on a treat and seems to have sealed good so far!

Carron Valley today, was about 0.5c so not too bad.... maiden voyage of the Anthem and it is AMAZING! i now can honestly say that you dont need any more than 100mm for xc use!

Excuse the shakey jakay pics but....new brakes: :D

Now to make the green bits blue.

They are Magura Storm rotors. I'm toying with the idea of getting some Ashima rotors but I'm told they tend to warp as there is so little metal. So might go for some Hope floating rotors instead.

Thanks for the offer. :) I'm determined to make 160mm rotors work for me though. The Blur is a bit porky at just under 22lbs so every gram counts.

Out of the two, I would get the Demo, though not in the TLD colour.
Or buy my Makulu!!!! :D

What makes you say that? At the moment im swaying towards the V10 c. Tbh I haven't ridden bike yet but I currently own a v10 and prefer the feel of VPP to other FSR suspension bikes that I have ridden.
