Anybody here seen this? I thought it looks quite intriguing. If it is the price auto express are claiming then it will be unjustifiable for my personal circumstances, but around £11-£12k I could see this being a great seller.

i've yet to see an up! in the flesh but i am intrigued and started a thread on it a few months ago (didn't have the gt info then though).

why have they dropped gti for gt though? doesn't really make sense from a brand pov

Probably a throw back type thing as the performance spec mk1/2 Polo was Gt rather than gti

108 bhp is hardly gti performance material

hopefully a hotter version will get the Gti badge

something 150-160 horses or similar would make epic fun

108Hp when the car is as small as that will still be fairly rapid. The 106 GTi/Saxo VTS only has 120HP each. It'll probably remap to 140HP or so, maybe higher with some extra mods and then it'll be a proper little flying machine.

Well if the mapping is done well, it should still retain the 60+ mpg, so you wont get like for like, and the price as well.
