Need to put weight back on - Advice

Ah the darn belly pains.

Mine was recently coming back and getting swollen

But then I discovered rennie deflatines and just one of those every few days = fix'd.

'Twas just acid and gas.

Yours must be terrible, I cant even stand acid / gas / IBS.

Thats a great idea, milk is normally a decent quick fix for acidic / IBS pain, and cools the gut down nicely.

Milk is actually a placebo it covers the stomach and helps with short term heartburn but it will then come back ten fold. Do a google search :D

I have to lol at all the bad food and beer people keep mentioning, as someone who has had and still possibly has stomach ulcers this wouldn't go down well ;)

I figured that out :D

I still need the rennies. I didnt have any kind of hernia or anything though, it was just a big recurring gas swelling + too much acid, it only takes 2 of these a week to fix it:

Such a minor thing, yet incredibly ouch.

Yeah but full fat milk is what fussy eaters use as a food substitute. Not sure it's the right way to go. It's a backaward step if you think about it. Get on the BBQ peanuts.

Are peanuts bad for stomach ulcers?, It seems that Peanut Smooth Butter is good but chunky isn't

Peanuts are generally very oily, depending on what flavour/brand you buy. Lots of oil can cause acid reflux, it certainly does for me, and they are also very salty, and whether or not it's good for ulcers, too much salt is not great for your long term health.

sounds like a healthy weight for your height tbh, unless you generally want to be quite big as in musclular?

I read the other day that some nuts are difficult to digest, so may not be the best solution. I can't help but think a balance of different foods would be best. (I always remember Gillian Mckeith was it? The healthy food guru, and her "rainbow colour of foods".)
I myself am currently using a bannana whey protein powder, I mix it with milk, though it says it can be mixed with water, fruit juice or milk.
Do you have an iPhone? There is an app called Superfood HD that has some good info on a lot of foods.
Lots of small meals as I think yourself has said is good. I remember it as I and my brother too are of slim build and that is meant to be one of the best ways of gaining weight, for our body types.

You're too fussy :p Go and see a nutritionist. I'm surprised that your GP or consultant hasn't referred you to one.

Neil, do some research into 'slippery elm' not to gain weight but to relieve your discomfort.

Slippery elm buffers damaged, inflamed, and irritated wall linings of the stomach and intestinal tract.

It's cheap, comes in a powdered form that you mix with some warm water until gloopy, it is amazing, gentle and wonderful stuff. The best thing about it? It works.

I'm aware some will think i'm a quack saying this, I dont care, you are in serious need of it mate.
