Now you've setup the media library it now a case of viewing it. Go back to the main home screen and select Videos. Use the red button to bring up the list of sources -
Select the media library we've just created. At this point it may take some time for the SMP to collate all of the media and you should see "compiling media library" displayed at the top of the screen.
Once compiled you can just click on Videos and it will take you into the media library and display all of your videos. NOTE - You may have to use the yellow button to change the display mode. Keep pressing it until your screen is laid as seen below -
At this point you may or may not see the artwork depending on whether you selected "Auto" or "Manual" in the content menu I covered earlier. If you selected "Auto" then go through your collection and ensure the artwork matches the correct film or TV show. If it doesn't it's easy to correct.
Assuming you have chose to add the content info manually here's how simple it is -
As you can see there's no artwork, background or info and the file names are displayed in their original format. Simply select the first file displayed and press "options" on the remote. A menu will appear -
Press "Get Content Info" and the SMP will use the filename and attempt to retrieve the info. It will then ask you ton confirm the name of the film or TV show -
Once you confirm it's correct it will then display the film (or episode info in the case of TV shows) -
If correct simply press ok and that file is done. Move onto the next in turn until all episodes are done -
Once done you should have the artwork cover, background image(s) and film/episode synopsis -
(The Toy story background looks corrupt by the presence of "blocks" but it was actually changing the background picture for another at the exact moment I took the photo)
Obviously some films share the same name but were produced in different years. If this happens the SMP should display a choice of selections. Just match the correct selection with the correct film.
This has been a pretty much simplified guide so forgive me if I've missed anything out.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
