Crysis 2 Steam/Origin and Ea Cockup .....

I bought Crysis 2 on STEAM when it 1st came out. A couple of weeks ago having just upgraded my computer i decided to re-install the game , but i couldn't register it or play it because i had entered the serial number too many times. So i go onto the EA live chat support and basically what the EA fella did was transfer Crysis 2 to my Origin account , making the game on my STEAM account useless. I downloaded the game from Origin. Again the serial number would not accept and back onto Chat Support i go. Finally the serial was accepted , but the game i had installed was all in Chinese/Japanese. Canny peed off by now so back onto EA Support and i request a refund. They removed the game from my Origin Account and said a refund of £29.99 would be paid into my PayPal account within 48 hours. That was 4 days ago.

Anyone actually know how long a refund from EA will actually take? Also i still have the game to download in my STEAM library.

What a clart on ......
 
I pre ordered APB. When i found out it had a monthly fee, i ordered a refund and that took a day.

I would give them another 2 days, if nothing contact them back again.
 
I'm on EA live chat now and they say the refund number i was given doesn't exist. Can't believe how bad this is turning out.
 
Seems because i bought the game on STEAM the refund has been refused. So why didn't they tell me?
They've put the game back onto my Origin account and this is what i get when i try to register the game .....

An hour talking to EA Support and the blooming key STILL does not work.

BTW .. I've got a case number but i can't see the chat i had with support. It's full of contradictions from EA and wished i'd saved it.

Back onto live chat now to try again and get the serial number working :mad:

Last one from me today ;) . This is the installer i get when i try and download the game. All my settings in Origin are set to English.

Guessing they have given you a Japanese key, since i am i kind person i will install my copy of Crysis 2 and upload the english.pak which you can just replace over the language pack you have got installed now.

EA transfering it to an origin account is well out of order...:(

I go nuts if i get this problem and they say the same thing to me...
as all my PC games are on steam and i have no interest in having an origin account

Have you ever thought, even slightly considered, that the people trying to help you are also helping lots of other people at the exact same time? That maybe, just maybe, they copied and pasted into the wrong chat by accident.
